My sister watched Eraserhead at a film festival today and said it reminded her of a slower paced Tetsuo and it inspired me to make this list. If there are any other movies with these vibes, feature or short film, suggestions are very much welcome!

Recently started using letterboxd and watching more movies in general. Any suggestions based on my top4?
These are the movies I have seen. Probably in liked order, but would have to rewatch a few to be sure.
I struggle to have a solid top few since I’ve seen plenty of very good movies but usually when I think of favorites it’s something I think about a lot and have an attachment to. Like Casablanca is probably one of the best of all time but it’s not my favorite. Then there’s a handful of runner up contenders for the list that just don’t cut it like Jacob’s Ladder.
For me at least what I think of as my favorites has more to do with my own fascination with it and rewatch-ability. Like Star Wars or Lotr could’ve made it pretty easily too but that felt even more basic lol.
*note that there are a couple of movies on the "least favorite" side that i do actually like! there were just slim pickings for those letters

I made a list of 30 important Canadian films that I’ve seen, in order of how much I liked them. I couldn’t narrow it down to 30 though… I’m stuck at 32. I know it’s arbitrary and I could just make it a list of 32, but I like round numbers. Please help me decide which films to remove from this list.
I’m trying to remove ones that aren’t necessarily the worst on the list, but that aren’t “important Canadian films”… whatever that means. Thankyou!!
ETA: also, if you know of any other important Canadian films that you think ought to be on the list, let me know so I can check them out and maybe add them. (I’m trying to only include one film by any director though.)
