Favorite Movie From Every Year I’ve Been Alive (2006-Present)

What are your thoughts about my list?

It was tough choosing between Zootopia 2 and Sound of Falling.

(I'm not 20 yet 😅)

Favorite Movie from Each Year of My Life (1990-Present)

Some of these years were really tough, but the deciding factor came down to which movie I’d be more likely to watch now. A lot of incredible movies that I do love didn’t make it simply because there was a different movie I watched more or is a comfort movie or I’d be more likely to watch now. These are my favorites from each year, not necessarily what I consider to be the best from each year.

Hills I Will Die On

Movies that were panned either by critics or audiences that I love, guiltily or not. Open to roasts.

My Coen Brothers Ranked

I've seen all of their films multiple times but decided to rewatch most of them in the past few months. Seemed like a perfect time for a ranking! This is pretty different than I would've expected before rewatching all of these, and will probably change again next time I watch them lol!

What do you think, and what's your ranking?

Top 10 For Every Year I’ve Been Alive - Year 1 - 1980

Hopping on the “best films for every year I’ve been alive” trend, but I thought I’d open it up a little and make it a Top 10 instead of just a single pick.

Just to be clear, I am not stating that these are objectively the 10 best films of any given year (this will be blinding obvious when we get to 1993 and Schindlers List is only at #6), these are just the 10 I, personally, enjoy the most and the order I would chose to rank them in.

YMMV.

Comments, upvotes, downvotes, mockery, questions are all welcome.

i've seen people doing this and thought it looked fun!! i don't have quite as many movies as some others, but oh well...

1.) What would you call this "subgenre"? and 2.) Any other films I should add (or watch, if I haven't seen them yet)?

This is mostly just for fun, but I do tend to be really drawn to... whatever type of media this is. Two co-dependent (or formerly co-dependent) women or girls getting into violent situations together...? Complex relationships between women, but in this very specific way? Not even sure, but I love it.

EDITED TO ADD: Dang, can't believe I forgot Thoroughbreds (2017)! Just added that one as well.

Had an insane June compared to only 3 in May

I think this is my biggest month in my 3 years of Letterboxd. Had weapons that I started on the 30th, but for me if it goes past 12:00 I log it for the calendar day I finished it on, so it got logged for the 1st.
