Just purchased a 997.1 and needed to fix the alignment of the 991.2/Macan steering wheel that was installed on the car, but when I took off the airbag I discovered that the whole backside was rusted. There haven't been any error messages on the car regarding the airbag so I never had any concerns about it until now.

I've heard that some airbags are suseptible to rust in more humid climates, but this looks worse than other pictures I've seen.

Is this still good to use? Or would it need to be replaced?

And yes I've thought about if I want to keep them for when I sell the car in the future, but ultimately I decided to just sell these wheels and later on sell the car with my current wheels.

Buyer is aware of the scuffs and imperfections. He wants to use them for tracking his car. Tires are from 2019, so getting pretty old.

Just purchased this 997.1 C2S with the 19” Carrera Classic wheels and also on Bilstein B16 coilovers. The first thing I want to do is put some spacers on to make the wheels flush, but want to see what size and brand other people are using. I’m not sure how much lower the car is than stock, but the previous owner said it was set to “the middle setting”.
