The Better Count Plugin stopped working

I haven't used obsidian in a while, and today when i opened it the word count showed as zero (it should be something like 200k) is there a way to fix it?

Star Stories (prologue) [Space Fantasy, 972 words]

Hello, a couple of years ago I had posted my novel on this sub, as it was going in a direction that I didn't like much and I wasn't sure whether to start over. At the end I ended up abandoning it as I really wasn't enjoying writing it. After that I didn't really write much. I did start over, but that ended nowhere, so I kinda thought maybe this whole world I had built over the years worked better as a worldbuilding project for its own sake, so I just stuck to doing obsidian articles about it. However, the idea of the original story I had wanted to tell never left my mind; I just couldn't stop thinking about, and I realized that I couldn't let it go, and recently i felt compelled to actually start over properly. This time i have a much clearer idea of the plot and the character arcs and the themes.

The idea for the story was born because star wars' division of the force in the "good" half and the "bad" half seemed very simplistic to me, and i thought "what if its really just jedi propaganda to justify their political influence?" and i went from there. With the story i want to focus on the political implications of a world where certain beings possess magic while others don't, and on how ideology is used as a way to justify power structures.

I wanted the prologue to setup the presence of political intrigue and games, without revealing too much, just leaving the reader with questions. There are three layers of meaning to the conversations: what is literally said, the very obvious subtext that General Toraem is being suspected for corruption by Nōdor, and the subtext that is intended to become clearer with the advancing of the plot that Nōdor suspects that Toraem's corruption is related to a much deeper conspiracy.

So i was curious if this works as a prologue in its intended way and if its intriguing. Any and all critique is welcome, i wanna know how i can improve it, and if i achieve what i'm trying. Last time large part of the critique about my writing was that the things that are happening are unclear, and i realized that was because i often didn't properly set the scene, i hope here i've improved in that aspect, and i hope i'm doing more showing than telling.

Anyway, this is the google docs link:
