Quick check on firmware update prior to modding

Hello all, just recently picked up a switch lite used for cheap. Read up a decent bit on the modding scene and bought myself a picofly chip to do the mod myself.

The only clarifying question I wanted to ask was if it was alright for me to update the firmware right now. I wanted to reinitialize the switch to give it a fresh start, but an update is required to do so. As the time of writing this the current firmware version is 22.1.0 I believe and Atmosphere does say basic support is provided for this version, but I thought it better to ask those with more experience. Huilian Pro 3 V7 just arrived today. Upon putting the buds in my ears, there is a faint hissing that can be heard. With ANC on its heard constantly, with ANC off it can be heard when music is played or if it is paused it ca be heard before it cuts out again.

Quite disappointed by this, I was reading the real Pro 3’s have a similar issue, but this is unwearable for me and I think anyone with more sensitive ears.

Additionally the Star Fun App on iOS does not pick these up at all.

Edit:

Trying different devices hasn’t worked, soft resets haven’t worked. Additionally the sound stage on these out of the box is pretty bad. Compared directly to my v5.3 its noticeably a downgrade
