New switch and rack tidy up

Couldn’t turn down a free switch and an opportunity to mess around with ArubaOS-CX. Also gave me a reason to tidy up the rack and use some shorter cables - which I ran out of.

Nothing too exciting, just Proxmox with some docker containers on the mini’s eg nginx, homepage, jellyfin, immich, bookstack, and guacamole. Qnap on top of the rack.

VPN on the Forti to an offsite for backups on Unraid which is also running Zabbix.

Best way to kill this weed?

These weeds are taking over my Couch lawn and there’s way too much to hand pull unfortunately.

From what I found online it looks like chamberbitter.

Has anyone had any experience getting rid of this?
Eg will bow and arrow be effective?
It’s not listed specifically on the label but I’m assuming if it’s a broadleaf weed it’ll work?

Thanks in advance!

Does anyone else supplement with magnesium glycinate for sleep?

I have hit 100 a couple of times but only if I’ve supplemented with magnesium glycinate.

If I don’t supplement with this, I don’t hit 90 and tend to sit around 75-85.

I get there are benefits to magnesium but it also makes me wonder if there are some placebo effects of it that help - eg because I take it, I expect to have better sleep which forces me to relax more etc

Edit: I take 3x 936mg capsules from a brand called Nutra-life in Australia

Very new but loving it

Haven’t been into any TCG’s since Yugioh more than 15 years ago. I was lucky enough to be gifted a box of boosters from a friend last week.

The amount of detail on cards today is insane, this brings me back to my childhood.

I was looking at the shared drives and it made me curious as to what everyone is does for their shared drives. What is your process for choosing a letter and use case for the shared drive itself.

Do you have so many shared drives that your explorer window is cluttered?

At the moment, I have an 8 bay QNAP for the following:

  • M: for Media,
  • D: for my family's shared data,
  • O: for my personal data
  • S: for software installers/ISO's etc
  • N: for NVR footage

These are then backed up offsite to another NAS with HBS3.

I'd love to hear what you are also running in terms of storage, that's always exciting to read.
