What would you do?

What would you do?

Did a shop order for about 17 miles (normal wouldn’t take bc of distance but it was a slow day). It was only a few items and everything else tracked OK. Cool beans. No big deal. Nothing heavy. Easy peasy. Order also had a passcode.

I use the app to go to navigation (google). Google gets the street right, but I didn’t verify the house number.

The instructions said that it’s a house and to come to the back. Go up the steps. Deliver to the porch. Again, o big deal bc it was an order that would take one trip and no heavy items.

I get to the house, google tells me one number. I go to that house number. Go through the gate (which was open). Go up the sidewalk to the back of the house.

I was met with a guy who was sitting out back with his dog. I asked if he was ‘name of customer’. He answers that he is not. I was like oh ok. Is this an apartment building and he said no, it’s his house and he didn’t order anything.

Bags still in hand, I look at the Spark app and realized my error. The house number was a few houses up. I apologize and move on.

I walk towards the correct house and there is an older lady on a second story porch saying ‘why did you deliver my order to the wrong house. You’re the third person who did this. I put specific instructions’.

I responded like this ‘oh, I’m sorry. I didn’t drop the order. The gps took me here but I’m looking right at your notes’. She carried on about how I shouldnt have gone there. And ended it with a demand to ‘meet me at back’ in a hostile tone.

Already knowing where this could go (claim I did something that can’t be verified and a negative rating) —- I said ‘I’m taking this order back to WM, I no longer feel safe making the drop off at the rear of your house.

I left. Initiated a return and called Spark support to make a report and ask they not send me back there. They took a report.

So a few days later I get this- I guess she complained about me as well.

My 4.9 rating remains and seems I’m still active.

I recognize my error but never dropped the order and apologized.

Would you have made the drop?

So a few days later I get this (basically a warning bc of inappropriate actions or comments). I guess she complained about me as well.

Anyone know if this is a flock camera? Spotted on the top of Williams Street in Pittston. Pointed toward the Pittston side.
