If you have what are your experiences? Did it help? If so what symptoms did it help with and what are the pros and cons in your experience?
I’m in college and considering it, but it’s not allowed in dorms.
There’s a synagogue in the area I’ll be going to college at and they have introduction to Judaism classes a few weeks into the school year that I can sign up for online. I just don’t know if I should talk to a rabbi before signing up, or just sign up and show up? I’m also not like 100% sure I’m gonna convert but I’m mostly sure. Should I email first?
Also this feels like my first adult decision I’m making without asking my parents so it’s kinda scary.
I personally can only see Johana being a failed mockingjay out of the known tributes, and find the thresh one unbelievable.
But what do you think of the idea that Plutarch had a bunch of tributes that he tried to get to break the arena or inspire something in the districts?

Wdym I’m gonna be forced to watch the rest of the world be happy with their parents and constantly be jealous of people my age with good parents. It’s not fair, how fucking hard could it have been for them to be good parents. I did it for my younger siblings while also dealing with their abuse, they could have done it. They chose not to. And now they’re just indifferent to us and it’s obvious they wish they’d stopped having kids.
I have a lot of fantasies about having different families and it makes me so depressed but stopping it feels almost like abandoning my imaginary families that I’ve had since I was fucking 5.
I thought I’d put these here for anyone who wants it for edits or something, but I think Lola flannery could have played a good Katniss. She has similar vibes, dark hair, Olive ish skin (though it might be the lighting in the photos) and even grayish eyes. I think maybe it’s cause she’s in the 100 but all the Pinterest photos of her have Katniss vibes to me.
I drew Katniss in her mockingjay suit, the first is without the helmet up the second is with it up.
They’re not perfect, and it’s not exactly how I pictured Katniss, but I’m pretty proud of how the dresses turned out.
I think SC was annoyed with some things people were saying after the movies came out here are a few I’ve seen and how I think Suzanne addresses them.
that THG isn’t a critique of capitalism and that Panem is actually communist. (This one really gets on my nerves). People say this cause they claim that since they can’t move social classes (from district to capitol) it’s communist. (This is dumb cause Katniss literally does move social classes when she wins her games but whatever). I personally think that’s why she added sejenus, to show that it’s definitely about capitalism and classism.
some people assume that the capitol is full of queer and transgender people, because of the bright colors and odd ways of dressing. (This is just homophobia, cause are you seriously telling me that since they dress weird you think they’re gay??). I think that’s why she added so many mentions of queer characters with the covey. I also think she added it to make the MAGA fans uncomfortable.
this is kinda a small one, but I know some people theorize that Maysilee had an ED. I’ve seen people mention how the capital citizens would drink a drink that makes them vomit so they can keep eating, and claim it’s commenting on eating disorders. This always annoyed me a bit because in the same paragraph Katniss specifies that it wasn’t because of a sickness of body or mind! So NOT an eating disorder.
The admiral ordered data to send lal to his ship, and he would stay on the enterprise, and he got up supposedly to go to it but just a few sentences later he said he could not voluntarily give her up because it violates every lesson he learned about human parenting.
Personally, I don’t think he would have done it even if the episode made it look like he was going to.

The first is Jayla Walton: she definitely has olive skin the only thing that’s not book accurate is eye color and her size cause know she’s impressively buff. the second is
Darci Shaw: it’s kinda hard to tell her undertone because she looks different in different lighting (as do most people) but I think she looks kinda olive in these photos. Plus she has the grayish eyes and black hair and small build and a tomboyish look but is still pretty.
The last two I wouldn’t consider book accurate but makeup/contacts/wigs can fix that. They both play big sister characters and are great actresses so I can see it.
Third is Maia Mitchel: I feel like she’s pretty but not like model pretty.
The last one is Malina Weismann and she plays violet bauldalair, she’s close to what I imagined the only difference is I think she has a cool undertone not olive, but that could be changed with makeup.
I like to think that Haymitch or one of the surviving covey told Katniss about her covey ancestry as well as Lucy-gray. Plus we know that the Everdeens use plant names so I added some of those.
I’ll start with my two favorites, Eliza lily and eyrie (they could possibly spell it erye, and pronounce it aer•rye, like the bread for Peeta).
Eliza lily is from the poem “names” by Wendy cope. What I think is special, is the girl is completely normal, she’s widowed at age 30, but besides that, she lives a normal life and lives long enough to become a grandma. I can see them reading that and thinking the name is perfect, because of course they’d want their little girl to grow up and die an old lady, unlike most people they know. Lily is also a shade of pink! Plus there’s the flower for rue and prim and the Everdeen naming tradition.
eyrie is Pronounced aer•ie
An eyrie is an “elevated nest of a bird of prey, such as an eagle, falcon, or hawk”. It’s also from the poem eyrie by Robert W service. I can see Katniss using this name because we know how she loves the birds and compares people she loves to birds a lot and she herself is compared to them. Also the poem!!! It mentions mountains , roses, their favorite colors! And its themes about finding happiness in-spite of the horrors. It has so much symbolism.

I don’t care if you think he did it or not, do you actually think prosecutors can prove beyond a reasonable doubt. Personally, with just the notebook and the gun, I’m not sure they can prove much. Especially considering when the originally searched the bag, they didn’t find the gun, how do you miss a gun?? And the writing in the notebook could definitely be fake. But I’m not sure the jury would think that though. I’m honestly not sure if I think it was Luigi or not, but I do think the gun and notebook writing were planted, they needed to get someone to make a point of.
Then there’s the federal trial, which I’m honestly confused by.
Are the Maimonides “13 principles of faith” universally accepted ? I was reading here all along by Sarah Hurwitz and she says they’re not. Is there no universal view of god at all? She says that “other than mono-theism, there is no universally accepted Jewish creed or article of faith defining the diving”. She also provides a bunch of summaries of Jewish god conceptions.
One of them was god as all good, but not all powerful. Which logically makes sense cause it explains why bad things happen, but also it’s confusing cause I’ve always thought of god as all powerful. I know that alot of things in Judaism is heavily debated.
She looks so much more like Katniss here! Especially the first photo she looks kinda Olive toned. They legit could have just dyed her hair black instead of brown and do her makeup differently so she looked olive toned and younger. Makeup artists have done crazier things.
EDIT: I said she looks KINDA olive, obviously I wouldn’t want them to style her exactly like this. This photo just proves they could have made her look so much more like book Katniss.
