My 2019 Spark 1LT

I love this little thing. The photo is from the winter but regardless this is an amazing little car. It doesn't have the stupidly big screens and safety features like lane assist but it still connects my phone and has a backup camera, it's like a perfect happy medium.

(CAN) Did I Do The Right Thing?

I work at a decently new store (opened last year) and I used to work at another store in my franchise (we have 3 total in the franchise).

All the managers at my current store are from my old store so they know me, however, my co-workers did not.

Before the store opened, all my crew and managers from my old store were all preparing for this. The employees for the new store trained at a different store. It's a known thing across all stores that we get unlimited free small or medium pop on shift, all shift.

On our first weeks of opening, I went to pour myself a drink and this is how it went down:

[i put the lid on my drink]

Co-worker: You can't have drinks on shift!

Me: Cool. Last I checked though, I can. [sips pop]

Co-worker: [more annoyingly] Well you can't have drinks on shift!

Me: Cool, go do that. [continues sipping drink]

Co-worker: I'll tell [insert floor manager's name]!

Me: Cool. [still sipping drink]

[Co-worker goes to manager]

Co-worker talking to manager (quite loudly too): Emilia has drinks on shift and she's not allowed!

Floor manager who is an old mexican lady and knows me very well talking to co-worker: Everyone is allowed drinks on shift but more importantly. You're not the manager!

[Floor manager comes to me]

Floor Manager: I cannot believe that while it's not busy [co-worker's name] did my job instead of you know, cleaning things that needed to be cleaned.

Me: That's what I thought. I was just taking a few seconds to have a drink before doing the next part of cleaning lobby.

So my question is y'all: Was that the right way to handle it?
