Poly gaslighting is more common than we think and they're really good at it
I recently joined a mono-poly support group out of curiosity and all I see is the same common guilt-tripping (exclusivity is controlling), manipulation (you have to unlearn and keep working on your emotions) and gaslighting (the only emotions you're allowed to feel are compersion). It's a bunch of poly people calling this "support."
Tbh, I no longer feel empathy for the mono people too who are suffering and seeking this type of support. Like, how low does your emotional intelligence have to be to fall for this?
Another thing I've noticed is that poly people don't seem to care about their other poly partners' feelings either. E.g., one partner is feeling low, but the other one will go sleep with someone they just met on Tuesday, saying, "Why should I sacrifice my joy for what you're feeling?"
I think their cult became so unhealthy when most of them started invalidating others' emotions.
There was news of a gang rape involving a 15 year old girl, and the post was full of haha reactions
The incident occurred in Thakurgaon, where three of her friends gang-raped her. In the news report, she described the horrific details in front of the camera. Yet people in our country treated it as entertainment. The post received more than 10k haha reactions, and the comments were filled with victim blaming. Many questioned whether it was really rape and argued that girls should be married off at a young age. I do not know what to feel about this or what to say about the people of our country. Most comments came from religious perspective and claimed that Afghanistan is better.
How do you feel about the conservative people in this country? Will this country ever change when most people think this way?
Bangladesh parliament is full of highly educated intellectuals and it makes me feel proud, calm and happy
I wrote something opposite previously and it got removed. I hope this time it stays.
How Do Bangladeshi Politicians Attend Human Rights Conferences Without Feeling Ashamed?
I genuinely do not understand how Bangladeshi political leaders go to international human rights conferences with smiling faces while the reality of this country is completely opposite.
Almost the entire political environment here is against homosexuality or even basic human rights discussions. Women are still in a terrible position in many parts of society. Child labor still exists openly. Labor rights are weak. Freedom of expression depends on politics. These issues can go on and on.
Yet these same politicians stand on international stages talking about human rights, democracy, dignity, and justice as if Bangladesh is some morally progressing country.
Isn’t that shameful? How can anyone feel proud of a country where so many people are denied basic dignity while political leaders pretend everything is fine in front of the world?
Is there any existing political party that talks boldly about homosexual people's rights?
I know this is a Muslim majority country, but I also hear that it is a secular country. I was thinking about whether there is any political party that boldly talks about it. After all, human rights are more important than what the majority of religious people want.
Besides that, I know leftist people always seem very serious about human rights. Is there any leftist party, even a small one, that directly talks about supporting LGBTQ rights? Why not?
