Caught these boys on a Pat’s rubber legs I tied myself a couple weeks ago. They saved the day from being skunked ( we were targeting trout ) but they put up a nice fight!
My first two attempts with the materials I had on hand. I think I need some thicker wire for the body wraps and larger beads. These were on a #14 hook. Advice? Recommendations? Next attempt I’ll try and add a CDC collar.
Lead-free wire in the middle and modified with a dark copper bead to help it sink better. Size 6 hook.
Yellowstone River outside of Billings, MT. Don’t look like trout. Maybe a mountain whitefish?

Got back on the board a few days ago after about a year break. Been skating on and off since I was 5.
My cruiser is a Heroin egg shape 9” and my street/park is a Deathwish 8.25”. Both are symmetrical in shape. Any questions feel free to ask! I love talking about what I’m riding.
