Remote with satellite internet

I’m not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I recently applied to a remote customer service job for Chewy. In the application, it said satellite internet was not supported. I live in a very rural area, so satellite is the most reliable option for me. I am able to get dial up if necessary but I fear that wouldn’t be fast enough for work. So I guess what I’m asking is: 1. is this a normal requirement for remote work? 2. is there any way they’d really know what kind of internet I’m using? I submitted the application anyways and said “No” I don’t use satellite and they sent me an assessment so I’m trying to decide if it’s worth continuing, and if I am fortunate enough to get an interview would I be safe lying? I know this is a somewhat vague question, but I’ve applied to over 60 remote positions at this point (without any interviews) and nothing has said anything about satellite internet until now. Has anyone run into something like this with remote work/ does anyone work for Chewy specifically and can confirm if any kind of proof of your internet service was needed? Thanks a bunch!
