There is a basement venue in this courtyard space. It was open this weekend and was hosting Queers for Beers. I wanted to go and just have a look at the space for considerting a potential future use but they wouldn't let me down just for a few seconds to take a look.

In a nutshell, I'm a 49 year old guy. I have had real bad substance misuse issues most of my adult life.
Managed to sober up a few years ago and return to work etc but as I've become sober and my head has cleared it has become apparent to me that I have some underlying issues that I maybe wasn't aware of before because I was mostly smashed 95% of the time.
Anyhow, been to see gp and have been reffered for an assesment.
My question is about meds, specifically the non stimulant types ( don't fancy taking anymore stims to be honest)
I wanted to know how effective they are. I have a feeling that I have combined type adhd as I suffer from a broad range of symptoms across the two different types of the condition.
So, do any of you have cominded type adhd and take non stimulant meds and would lime to share some expereinces of them, how effective they are for managing symptoms, side effrects and any other pros & cons.

I made this mix. kinda hiphop low tempo mix of associated genres and sounds.
I usually play more electronic stuff like house/techno but I've taken inspiration from my housemate who loves hip hop and chiiled sounds.
