Just curious, what stage are y'all at? How's the visa process going and have you managed to secure accommodation yet?

Hello everyone! Just received my acceptance from University of Tübingen for master's in Cellular and Immunological Biosciences. Anyone else who has also been accepted to the program, drop a message!!

Hey everyone! I will moving to Heidelberg as an international student from India for the winter intake 2026. Right now, my visa process is ongoing and am working on the online enrollment process for Heidelberg University.

Apart from all this, I wanted to ask what else I should be prepared for. Is there anything I should work on back home before moving to Germany?

And a few other queries:

1. Can city registration dates be booked online before I arrive?
2. How much would the initial days demand financially and does the monthly expenses surpass the blocked account allowance of 992 euros?
3. What job opportunities can I look for? My German is at A2 and am working towards improving my language. So, how difficult is it for HiWi roles or other jobs outside the university?
4. What should I expect from the weather in Heidelberg, and how much winter clothing should I pack for the initial days?

And anything else y'all wish someone had told you before your move to Germany!

Has everyone who applied to the Regenerative Biology and Medicine course at TU Dresden received an update? Although my documents were received by the university on May 13th, there have been no further updates. I heard a couple of people have already received their acceptances. Do we all get to hear from the university by mid July at the latest?
