Im so happy. It still looks bad from the front kinda (at least to me maybe others dont notice). I just started spiro. Thinking its looking relatively normal now.
I feel like it looks better some days than others
My high blood pressure was caused by diet and stress. Besides destressing, i cut way way back on sugar, salt, and red meats. I gave up caffeine, which has been the hardest for me. Now i am having low blood pressure and i just got taken off of amlodipine. When i started my BP was 198/110 and lately its reading either 110/80 or 95/65 and having low blood pressure symptoms. I am only 33 so being on the younger side is in my favor as well but i am obese.
I have been on minoxidil since January 5. At first i used the topical 5% for a month and then asked my dr to put me on 2.5 mg oral minoxidil. Fast forward to yesterday and i finally saw a dermatologist. She said i have AGA and stressed induced hair loss. I would guess its also from meds as ive been on a lot of different psyche meds. She put me on 150mg spiro. I took my first one this morning and havent noticed any frequent urination yet. Hoping it helps. Minoxidil is really starting to work but i think spiro will help more if i can handle it.
Im wondering if anyone has done this? Im at a point where im not getting dysphoria from my flat chest. I feel embarassed to admit it to people in my life. I wear breast forms but i really want more real ones. Im afraid ir will look bad or be unsafe
Did anyone see progress while taking vitamin D supplements? How long did it take? My vitamin D was pretty low so i started supplements. Im also on minoxidil and am seeing results but not where i want to be yet.
2.5 mg minoxidil only. Im getting blood work done tomorrow, i bet im low on vitamin D at least so i hope to see even better results in the next few months. I had 2 dread sheds so far, one at 4-5 weeks and another at 4-5 months. The unlabeled ones are from today. Im very happy and i can see even more fine baby hairs coming in. I almost lost hope because literally two weeks ago my hair looked bad still, but its gotten better since then.
So i had a perfect blood pressure readings before last year. Even at the beginning of last year it was normal. Then by the summer time it was reading. 200/110. I was MAJORLY stressed last year with the threat of homelessness and drank a pot of coffee a day plus soda. They put me on 5mh of amlodipine but teo weeks later bumped it to 10mg. Flash forward to several months ago and i was getting regular normal readings. I had cut back on caffeine because my new med (wellbutrin) helped me not need it so much. Now im down to 2.5mg of amlodipine and getting some slightly elevated readings but mostly normal. My heart rate is high, though. Not too bad (105ish). I feel better physically and mentally. I hope with my new addition of exercise and diet ill be off this med within a year
I know i post a lot but like most people here my hair is just SO important to me. 2.5 mg oral minoxidil
I had posted before, but i found better comparison pics. Oral minoxidil 2.5 mg only. Looking back, i didnt realize exactly how bad it was! It was really ruining my confidence
I am happy with my progress but also noticing the top is balding . Im hoping it will fill in more. Did anyone see progress after 6 months? Does it take a year?
I was put on wellbutrin 150 mg a few months ago. A month ago i went up to 300 mg. Since then my once very high blood pressure is reading on a lower end of normal. Before awitching to 300mg it was reading 120/80 now 91/70. Its also released all the tension in my body. But i still feel anxious emotionally, but physically i feel better overall. So its working and im hopeful this means ill be able to go off BP meds.
Has this happened to anyone else? All ive seen is it raises blood pressure. But i mean so does anxiety?
So a year ago i had a very stressful summer where i was almost homeless. Then once i settled into my new place i started hearing the whooshing in my right ear. It gets quieter when i press on my jugular, gets worse ahen i bend over or turn my head too far to the left . Since then it has came and went. Recently it was so quiet i didnt think about it for a couple months after i got put on wellbutrin but now i am in mental health episode and its loud again. I have controlled high blood pressure and lots of anxiety. I also noticed it gets better if i get a really good neck rub. I have a couple large muscle knots on the base of my skull and get frequent tension headaches alongside the PT on the right side of my head. But i also get PT in my left ear half the time.
Im sorry if that was word vomit but its all been a lot. I know i need to see a doctor. I see her soon and plan on mentioning it. I mentioned it in the ER last year when i discovered my high blood pressure (it was like 198/110) and the dr said they werent wortied about the PT. But that was the ER. I dont think my PT is caused by high blood pressure since now on meds i am getting really good readings.
Does anyone relate?
I waa so happy about my progress only to feel like now its back sliding... This morning i had 10 hairs fall out in the shower so im confused why it looks worse? I dont think i noticed significant shedding in the last month. I started topical minox in january and switched to oral minox 2.5 mg in febuary. I dont know why i have shedding, but probably stress and hormones.
The top of my head looks better as well and the sides. My existing long hair is so thinned out its making me consider wearing a topper or vut off several inches deepite wanting to grow my hair out. My dread shed happened in February and stopped a few weeks into march. Then i had another short burst of it in late April. The front is the most obvious results so far. Which is HUGE for me.
I dont know why i have hair loss btw
