Maps?

Does anyone know if Baxter State Park provides or sells a map of the park when you enter the gate or camp at a campground? I have a map of the AT but not of the full park. Wondering if I can get one there rather than in advance that would have the trails.

Air France rebooking approach during transit for missed connection due to customs - pay fare difference or not?

* Title should refer to immigration, not customs *

I rarely fly internationally so I made what I now understand are two rookie mistakes. First, I booked a flight with Air France (kidding...but not actually). Second, I gave us an hour and a half layover in Paris flying as a US citizen to a different EU destination. I thought we went through both immigration and customs at our final destination, so an hour and a half seemed totally reasonable, even to navigate a large airport...sigh.

The alternative flights via Air France are now high due to high fuel prices. When I talked with their customer service, Air France says that since we can "theoretically" make the connection we have to pay a fair difference if we want to increase the likelihood we'll be able to get on the flight we paid for (ha ha). They said if immigration is taking too long we need to call them while we wait and they can rebook, but it also sounded like they said we'd have to pay for that fare difference anyway. This is what I'm trying to figure out.

If we do miss our connection due to immigration do we actually just have to pay a ton of money anyway at that point for a new flight? Has anyone had this experience? Surely it must happen all of the time because 1) you can buy lots of flights with 1.5 hour layovers in Paris that require customs and 2) everyone seems to agree that immigration can take 2 hours. I would try customer service again but the wait time was forever and WhatsApp isn't working either. The Chat feature also isn't connecting.

My experience with US airlines is if this happened, they just rebook you on the next available flight to the destination -- who knows when you'll get on a flight but the new flight itself isn't going to cost anything extra mid-journey. Unfortunately it also turns out that the travel insurance I bought doesn't cover the price difference if this happens and we get charged something.

Anyone have this experience and know if it's just going to cost us at the airport anyway?

* edited to correct term to immigration *

Domain purchase before or after registering as a business?

I am starting a small business and hesitating to register with my secretary of state before I purchase the domain name - I'm worried that some bot (or person) is searching for new businesses and buying the domain names. It this a hilarious concern today or legitimate? Should I buy a domain before registering?

I did read some good posts here about using a different company to register a domain than host your website, and I plan to go that route.

Someone also told me off hand recently that if I purchased a domain it automatically gives me an associated email address, but I don't follow. I know this is a clueless question, but do you get your email address from your hosting platform or somewhere else -- and where exactly would you go to log into that email? I use google for personal email, but I'm pretty sure that's now how business work - or is it?
