For few years now I’ve been developing Plum, a personal pet project of mine which helps keep my coding skills sharp while my bosses keep insisting on using Claude for everything at work.

It’s a music app focused on music already in your library. There are no ads, no recommended playlists, no discovery - just your music with plenty of options to browse and play it.

As one reviewer put it nicely - it’s an app for people who like what they like.

Highlights:

  • Works with your Apple Music and Spotify libraries (selectable within app settings)
  • Any item can be added to favourites for quick access on dedicated Favourites page (synced via iCloud)
  • Create folders from any combination of albums, playlists or artists (also synced via iCloud)
  • Group songs within playlists by album or artist
  • Build new playback queue before actually playing it (Queue Builder)
  • Easy one-handed usage - swipe left to open Search, swipe right to open sort menu for current screen, swipe up to open tab switcher, swipe down to start Queue Builder
  • Landscape mode (cleverly called Album Flow)
  • Last.fm integration for sending scrobbles and fetching album/artist descriptions

Pricing:

Plum is free to download and you can try all features without any restrictions for 14 days. After that you'll still be able to use every feature available but may encounter an annoying popup here and there serving as a reminder to purchase Full version. You can choose between yearly subscription or one-time lifetime purchase. During trial period the latter option can be purchased with a whooping 40% discount. Check out App Store page for exact prices.

Looking for replacement power supply for my VOX Continental. Original one had ground wiring however none of the power supplies that KORG currently sells that have matching specification has one. Would it be safe to use it?

So recently the original power supply for my VOX Continental 73 burned and I need to find a replacement. It has pretty uncommon specifications (listed below) and finding a compatible substitute is challenging.

Output Voltage: 15V
Output Current: 3,34A or more
Output Plug Type: EIAJ5
Plug polarity: Plus inside (Center positive)
Model number: KA400

Unfortunately it is no longer being sold and I searched entire interned but they're nowhere to be found.

Thomann currently sells two KORG power supplies that seem like they would be a good match:

KORG KA-430 and KA-380 however neither of them has the connection to the ground like the original KA-400 had. I'm worried because the chassis of VOX has a lot of metal elements and I wouldn't want to get electrocuted, nor get my keyboard burned in case there is some problem.

I don't know much about electricity so I wanna ask if I'm right to be concerned about it or would it be ok to buy one of those two models?

How to activate card in Wallet without my bank's app running on iOS 15?

Hi,

has anyone figured out how to (or is it even possible) activate debit card in Apple Wallet without having bank's app installed on the phone? Unfortunately my bank's app supports only iOS 16+ so there's no way to verify the card using the app.

I've tried adding the card from my other, modern iPhone and after setting up Apple Pay on that one it asked me if I want to use that card on my other devices as well. I've selected the SE but on it still shows "Verification required" under this card's info in Wallet

How to prevent UITableView content jumping while cell's content is resizing? In a hybrid UIKit/SwiftUI setup using UIHostingConfiguration

Hi all,

I'm trying to rewrite my big-ass SwiftUI scroll view by utilising UITableView and UIHostingConfiguration for displaying cells' content. The setup was easy but I've hit a roadblock related to resizing cells.

Every time cell's content grows vertically the table view jumps erratically, does anyone have any idea how to approach fixing this issue? For reference please see the video attached.

I've uploaded the sample project to GitHub:

Main stuff is located in `TableViewPOC/TableViewController.swift`

Glarm - an app I made that notifies me whenever I’m approaching my stop when traveling by train or bus

Hello r/apple! I have recently updated my app called Glarm with multiple visual updates for Liquid Glass and wanted to take the opportunity to share it with y’all.

What is it and who is it for?

If, like me, you travel a lot by train or bus you might not always recognize railway stations or tell quickly how far is your stop, so you start nervously checking the time and position on the map.

With Glarm you can set an alarm to ring, let’s say 5 kilometres from your destination and in the meantime take a nap or watch a movie without worrying about missing the stop.

It is currently localised in following languages: English 🇬🇧, German (thanks Justyna) 🇩🇪, Spanish (thanks Juan)🇪🇸, Polish 🇵🇱, French (thanks Lucas) 🇫🇷

What about my privacy?

Glarm does not track your location, instead it asks iOS to schedule a notification based on a geographical region. The big advantage of that being that your privacy is protected and battery usage is kept at minimum level as opposed to similar apps which actively track your location and require running in foreground. No user data is collected at any point and there are no sketchy 3rd party analytics frameworks used.

Where and how much?

Glarm is available for free in the App Store, after scheduling 10 alarms it’ll ask for a one-time purchase (lasts forever, no subscription!)

Is there any way to keep my trophies when I can’t sign into PSN (due to HEN) and cannot update without erasing all data?

I’m currently on PS3 4.91 with HEN installed. It’s not the most recent OS version so I cannot log into PSN to sync my trophies and also cannot update without erasing all content and data which as I understand is necessary when updating from USB.

Is there any way to sync and not lose them?

Does anyone have a DMG file for GRID Autosport? It was released over 10 years ago and there are plenty of installers for Windows but I cannot find any way to get it on Mac.
