Walgreens pharmacy is paying me a settlement for changing my schedule. Floaters pay attention

Hello all, semi niche post as this is a NYC policy but I think important for all to know

I originally worked at Walgreens from June 2022-December 2024. I took the two year contract in December 2022 after becoming a licensed pharmacist and floated the whole time. It sucked. The management, the stores, the hours, the teams. Obviously there were a few gems that were better than others but I had no stability as a floater. Constant schedule and store changes. I told myself to just suck it up but towards the end they were getting really brazen. I was used to my schedule getting changed a day or two prior and just dealt with it. But Walgreens typically expects you to work every other weekend which I did but one weekend I was not scheduled to work on the Saturday and I kept checking my schedule but nothing popped up. I had enough hours to meet my base salary so I just saw it as a win. The morning of a different DM messaged asking me to go another district and I said no I made plans (I didn’t but I didn’t like the idea of being told to work somewhere with a 1 hr notice) and I’m not on call. We went back and forth and tried to say I was because I’m a floater which we are not. If I was I would get paid went whether I work or not, I’d have a base rate for being on call.

Anyway he said he’d tell my dm. I was hoping my dm would back me up but he unfortunately did not, he doubled down even after I shared the fair work week policy and that was the last straw. I knew the minute my contract ended I’d leave and I’d make a complaint with DCWP.

I’m actually back at Walgreens but I work as remote pharmacist now but I’m getting a several thousand dollar settlement due to me not being afraid to do what’s right.

For reference they have to tell you at least 72 hours before the schedule is posted of any changes for retail workers in NYC.

Can’t believe it’s my cake day

I joined Reddit on such an inconsequential day I nearly always forget but I have been keeping a 500+ day streak and noticed !

Are these a good bridal shoe ?

Hi I like coming here as I think this is the best sub for bridal fashion. I’ve been searching for a bridal shoe for a couple months now. I was looking for something blue and unique. But also a kitten heel as I’m bad with heels.

I ordered a pair of blue Mach and Mach heels as they were sooo cute online but tight in person and too pointy. Also one of the pearls fell off so I decided it was a no go.

I’m trying to be practical because I’m going to have lots of floral appliqués
On my gown and I don’t want something that could snag so I was considering the Dior 65mm slingbacks but I was seeing mixed reviews. I didn’t order because it’s still 1200 and I refuse to pay that much (looking to pay 700 max).

I fell in love with the Roger vivier virgule kitten heel but they don’t have a blue color way but I found these other blue Roger vivier and decided to buy them. There was a huge discount on Yoox and though I wear a 38 I read they run big and tried the 37.5.

I really like them but worried if it’s still a little plain. Only 45 mm and really comfortable and a perfect fit. Should I keep looking or go with these? I want something interesting for my flat lays
