When to stop?

I’m 41 and I’ve had 3 retrievals, 1 euploid, 1 failed FET over the last two years. My last retrieval in May resulted in 0 mature eggs, and the one in March only gave aneuploids. The 0 mature eggs was pretty devastating. Before IVF, I tried all of the other timing things and I even had major surgery to remove a large fibroid from my unicornuate uterus in 2017. All in all, I’ve been TTC for over a decade.

I have never been pregnant.

I was planning a final retrieval for September but suddenly my insurance has denied all pre-authorization stating that I haven’t been infertile long enough (weird since I’ve already had two retrievals this year). I’m thinking of appealing the decision on my end as well but I’m also so so so tired.

The thought of stopping makes me unmeasurably sad, but the thought of stopping also sounds like sweet relief. I want a child so so badly, but when can I honor my body and mind and accept that this process has utterly exhausted me and it’s time for me to decide my life and well being matter too? How much more time and energy can I expend fighting insurance and my biology?

When is it enough?

Is it time to make peace and move on?

I think my last retrieval was a bust and I’m gutted

I had my third retrieval yesterday.

Context: last Friday we were thinking of cancelling before I only had one measurable big follicle but we did meds over the weekend and 7 more follicles grew! We triggered on Tuesday night because most of them were the right size. They got 7 eggs yesterday!

Not a single egg was mature. Out of 7.

My doctor said they matured one overnight and tried fertilizing it today and I’ll know if it fertilized tomorrow but im so gutted right now. This was supposed to be my last retrieval for better or worse but to just so spectacularly fail it wasnt even on my radar.

I was on big stim doses - 375 each of follostim and menopur plus microdose lupron. Am I just done or does anyone have a similar stories where they added a magic something to their protocol and it worked?

—————-edit to add—————

Age 38+7- I did the same meds but much lower and stimmed for 17(!) days, retrieved 8, 7 mature, 5 fertilized, 4 blasts, 1 euploid (did not implant)

Age 40+11 - upped the doses to start, 9 day stim, 5 retrieved, 4 fert, 1 aneuploid

Yesterday is age 41+1 - 11 day stim, retrieved 7, 0 mature but 1 matured overnight and waiting on fertilization.

I sell matted giclee prints that are ready to frame (mat, print, backing in a plastic bag - show kit) and I’m trying to come up with a better display for them. Final sizes are 8x10, 11x14, and 12x12. For context I was using standalone grids with clips - it lets the customer see the available art & sizes.

Yesterday was extremely windy and I wasn’t able to display my prints as usual. Luckily customers didn’t mind pawing through the print racks but I think I need to create a better system that is sturdier.

The pic is what I ended up doing yesterday - extra binder clips, double sided tape… it was so stressful. I use a mesh wall for framed originals but I usually have 4 of these grids with prints organized by size.

Any suggestions?
