We moved into our house last year, and the neighbours across the street have NEVER put any bins out on bin day.

No general waste, no cardboard, no plastic & metal, nothing.

They are a middle aged couple with no kids at home, say a quiet hello when you see them but never stop for a chat. They must be generating waste and recyclables, so what are they doing with them?!

I appreciate this could be solved by asking them, but that would ruin the anticipation I get every Friday waiting to see if any bins appear.

Does anyone else have any similar mysteries that need solving?

Had my annual medication review today and been advised to go on statins as I’ve been Type 1 for 22 years and my cholesterol is 4.9 (NHS guidelines say 5 is the limit before being classed as ‘high’

As I understand it, starting statins would mean I would be on the indefinitely as it’s difficult to be de-prescribed if then until much later in life

Anyone around my age been offered and accepted/rejected?

I bought a car just before Christmas as I was waiting for my new car to be built and delivered. This car, a Renault scenic 2016 plate, is a top spec model but obviously being nearly 10 years old had wear and tear.

I sold it via motorway as my new car arrived, and the person who bought it sent a rep who checked the car, I signed his report and he took it. They have contested and want about 50% of the purchase price back as there are 2 things that aren’t working, that I didn’t know existed.

One is a heads up display thing that is supposed to come out of the dashboard. I never knew this was there as it never auto popped up like it was apparently supposed to. The other is a reverse sensor. It has a camera that operates correctly but apparently it should also beep, which it does not.

Where do I stand, as I sold it on the basis that these features weren’t a part of the car, but the purchaser expects them to be on that model and I didn’t state it didn’t work.

Is it on me to know all of the features before I sell?

If so, I’m happy to refund some money as the car wasn’t worth a great deal anyway, but 50% still would seem high for the lack of those 2 features.
