  • Saudi Arabia (Riyadh)

  • Max 1900 SAR (507 USD)

  • Refurbished: Yes. Used (but not refurbished): No

Screen size: Any size

  • Weight limit: Don't care about that much

  • Purpose: University

  • Form factor: Standard

  • Intended usage: Bachelor in Chemical Engineering. It's a 5 year program. I really don't know much about the software needed but most people suggest intel-i7 or equivalent and 16 GB RAM.

Desired battery life: Preferably lasts 8+ hours but guess can carry a charger and a power bank if that works. (Not sure about this idea)

  • Please list, in order of most important to least important, the priority between Size, Weight, Performance, Battery life: Battery life, then performance are the most important. Couldn't really care about size/weight.

Info/Requirements: Ideally, I would like it to last 5 years, but I'm mentally prepared to buy one within the next 2 years. I'm not that knowledgeable regarding BIOS config and the likes since this would be my first proper laptop (I use a Chromebook I got as a gift.)

TIA

Vaccination and Visa

So, I heard that we need meningitis vaccine. In the visa form, they asked whether I have taken the vaccine and will I deliver the vaccine certificate. Could anyone clarify what it means. If I give no to both, is my visa supposed to be rejected?

Anyone got final admission yet?

I received my initial acceptance on the 25th of June and haven't received the final acceptance yet. Classes should start on the 23rd of August. My estimations suggest we have about 20-25 days before we should be arriving in Saudi. Does anyone know what should be happening at this stage?

Want a plan to start gaining fitness

Hey, new here. I (soon to be 19M) will hopefully start university in fall 2026. My classes should start in late August, so I have been thinking of hitting the gym around early september. I am moving countries for my uni and I have a lot of arrangements to do, so don't want to start now.
I am around 5'11 and weigh roughly 216 pounds. My biggest area of fat is around the belly and the buttocks. I want to become slim, gain some muscles in the arms (and maybe legs) and lose belly fat (and hopefully buttock fat). Possibly get some abs.

I am thinking of committing around 3-4 hours a week. Can you advice me what things I should do in the gym (just a regular university gym, so nothing fancy there). Maybe some food advice, but really any advice would be much appreciated.

TIA.
