2018, 1.5 coolant intrusion: litigation

Hello, my ford escape has just last week fallen to coolant intrusion and is running a misfire code. I have had the vehicle for a little over 3 years and currently has just over 81,000 km on the engine (km at date of purchase: 23,000km).

I am 11 months out of the 21n12 warranty period.

Ford Canada is refusing to assist in any form of good will.

Has anyone, out of the warranty period, successfully taken litigation against with ford Canada or the certified Ford dealership they purchased the vehicle from?

If so, how and under what legal terms?

I am aware of the class action, but I am looking for any help on getting ford Canada or the dealership to preform the repairs described in the 21N12 CSP.

Thank you,

Tan & tooled bifold commission

Made this commission for a fellow down in Texas. Whenever I get a commission I like to have a video discovery chat with them and get to know who they are.

One of my favorite parts is getting to meet people and help bring an idea of theirs to life.

While not my typical style it was very fun and satisfying to have the tooled outer side come out so nice.

Thanks for trusting in me and Black River. I know you will be an amazing dad and are making so many good decisions in your life!

Thanks

Releasing lot of 12 Black River one offs

I’m releasing a batch of 11 one off Black River leather wallets and cardholders for sale. Each piece is $120 CAD plus shipping.

No two are exactly alike. This collection includes everything from understated brown and burgundy pieces to more distinctive combinations of navy, forest green, black, red, natural leather, textured leather, and brighter accents.

Some are clean and traditional, while others were opportunities for me to experiment with colour, texture, contrast stitching, and different pocket layouts. They are all designed to carry the essentials without unnecessary bulk and to become more personal with use.

Each item pictured is the actual wallet available, rather than a sample that will be recreated. Once a particular piece is sold, it is gone.

My journey in leathercraft started as a way for me to work through some things I was dealing with. Stress, busy but ultimately empty corporate job, general life. Over time, it became an ongoing journey of learning to be okay with being bad at something new. How to cut more accurately, stitch consistently, refine an edge, and understand how a piece should feel in someone’s hand.

Not every experiment has worked, and alot of painful mistakes. I have a knack for learning things the hard way.

Looking at them together I can see a record and expression of my thoughts and emotions.

To me, Black River represents learning, grit, and being honest with myself and being shameless in my expression of how I feel. A river may be calm one day and breaking it's banks the next.

I truely love creating.

Why I’m selling this collection

The proceeds from these wallets will be going toward the purchase of an industrial leather sewing machine. Until now, much of my work has focused on smaller hand-stitched pieces. A proper machine would allow me to begin producing larger and more ambitious items such as bags, duffels, cases, and other substantial leather goods.

Purchasing one of these wallets does directly helps fund the next stage of Black River and allows me to keep growing the craft into something larger.

Thanks and be true to yourself.

Final stages of assembly for a K 25

Been on and off this project for a few months now. Getting to the final stages.

Using a chrome tan for the first time and I'm not a fan of as it's super soft to work with but looks and feels nice.

Fathers day commission

Here is a fathers day commission I completed! Spent a ton of time skiving which isn't something I have typically done with previous builds but am a huge fan of how slim you can actually make a full leather wallet. I can also see how it will actually help with durability as there is less edge to catch on throughout the piece. Spent a good hour going through the specs with the client comparing leathers and providing info. One of those ones that was good beginning to end.
