Have you watched House Of David?

Hey folks, just done watching a webseries called House Of David and it’s interestingly entertaining I just loved it!! Waiting for the final season 🤞 I’m just curious to know if any of my Jewish mates have watched it and what you think about its historical accuracy and the way they presented everything. I know there are things they added to make the series more entertaining but overall, do you think it’s close to the actual historical context or not?

Why left people are always aggressive?

Hey folks, I recently reached the age to vote for the first time. Most of my family votes for Congress, but I’m not completely convinced either way because I always try to understand both sides of an issue.

I’ve noticed that many people form an opinion first and then look for things that support it, which I think is a faulty approach at its core. In my opinion, research should come first and the opinion should come after. I’m currently at the research stage and have noticed something interesting.

One thing I’ve experienced is a difference in how people from the left and right respond during discussions. In my experience, left leaning people responds more aggressively or directly engage with the opposing side, while right leaning people have more of a “okay, I hear you, you do what you want I’ll do what I think is right” approach

Why do you think there can be such a difference in how people from both sides approach political disagreements? Why does one side seem more interested in directly engaging or debating, while the other seems more willing to just move on and do their own thing?

Will Anyone Pay for Scraping?

Hey there folks,

It is no longer just an idea as I have prepared the entire structure for an API marketplace where users can run different actors on the platform to scrape data according to their needs.

I have prepared 12 major working scrapers so far and the results have been pretty good. These include social media scrapers as well as LinkedIn, Shopify, Amazon, eBay, Zillow, Google Maps and other platforms.

Basically, users can operate from their console and choose any actor they want to scrape data. The actor runs using their credit balance and scrapes the specified number of leads. Once the scraping is completed, an Excel file is generated that they can export and use.

For the start, I’m offering 100 free credits. It’s basically 1 credit per lead and based on the economics, I’m planning to charge $1 for 150 leads.

I would really appreciate your thoughts on whether you think this has the potential to become a successful venture. Any suggestions, ideas or feedback would be genuinely helpful :)

Acquiring is superior than starting from scratch?

Hey there folks,

I have been doing a job for almost a decade while keeping in mind that I want to do business in my thirties. While doing the job, I saved aggressively while living on the bare minimum and learned as much as possible about business. I even took a few small bets, like selling on Amazon and freelancing for people on Fiverr..

Finally, I will be executing my main plan, which is establishing my own business using a part of my savings

In theory, I followed the textbook path and managed to have the discipline to improve my chances of becoming a businessman.

With brutal honesty, I'm not from a business family so it was all my first time. I know I'm standing at 0, but what I did was prevent myself from going into the negative

Now my question is do you think it's better for me to acquire a business or would you suggest establishing a business from scratch?

In my mind, the inner voice is saying to find a good and boring business that is old, proven nd running on good cash flow where the owner is going to retire and I can acquire it

The second option is to start my own business with my own idea and enjoy the entrepreneurial journey

Please help me with your advice. What do you think is the better take? Any valuable advice from you, I will truly appreciate!

Thank you very much :)

Anyone with experience getting a CGTMSE loan?

Hello folks!

I’m looking to finance the acquisition a 20 year old cement manufacturing plant.

The owner is retiring and there’s no one in the family to take over. The deal includes the land, machinery, existing operations and client base

Has anyone here actually got a CGTMSE loan for acquiring an existing business?

Would love to hear your experience with the process, collateral and how much the bank financed.

Any advice would be really appreciated!

Thank you:)

Looking for MBA in USA

I am a 23 year old BBA graduate currently working but under a lot of confusion. To give some background I come from a humble family and lost my mother when I was six years old. My father remarried and has other kids now. I went to a Hindi medium government school but as I grew up I realized that path wouldn't work for me. I started working at 16 while in school doing everything from distributing newspapers to working in a mobile repair shop.

During Covid I taught myself English and worked on my communication to get better opportunities. I eventually got a call center job which was the first time I felt the comfort of working without physical labor. I dropped out of college for a bit but went back and finished my graduation while working. As soon as I graduated I landed a work from home job paying 5 LPA and it has been a year now. I have self-taught myself financial statement analysis and even learned Spanish while working. I have lived very frugally and saved 90% of my salary which has allowed me to build 15 lakh in savings. I never drink or smoke and while I am often alone I try to stay positive and joyful so I can attract good things.

It has been a year since my BBA and I am thinking about doing an MBA from the USA. My entire surroundings are not familiar with modern standards and no one I know has ever traveled out of the country. We have never even used plane travel. Since there is nobody to guide me I am moving forward with my own knowledge but I know it is limited as I was not raised in a well educated environment. I have my passport ready and I am preparing for the GMAT to give my best but I still have no idea if I will actually get the chance to rise.

I want to ask for your advice on whether doing an MBA from the USA is the right decision for someone starting from zero like me. Also if I get a student loan will the debt be worth it in the end. Please give me your guidance on what I should do to get better as I am ready for any sacrifice but I am just not sure which path to aim for. Thank you for your help.
