My girlfriend is a vegan, and she really wants a dog. She's adamant that a dog can live off a vegan diet, is this true? I've tried googling answers but im getting very different answers.
I'm my opinion this would be cruel to the dog, because it would not be their choice. Is it sustainable?

I've been vegan just a little over a year now and my general rule is that if something's labeled as vegetarian, and there's no milk, eggs, honey etc. in it then I just assume it's fine. However I've read that there's some ingredients that aren't vegan that isn't obvious, some things like added vitamins and stuff. What should I be looking out for specifically??
