I have an RV loan with USAA. I have automatic payments of $564 that pull on the 14th of each month. I decided that I want to start making principal payments on top of that also on the 14th. So, I scheduled a principal payment of $200 and then I see that $200 goes directly to interest and they say today on their phone app that my regular payment of $364 is now late. WAT. So today I add a payment of $600. Now, it says that my next "automatic payment" will be $329 that will pull on June 12th. WAT. This is ridiculous. They are doing their best to make sure they get all the interest on this loan. This has to be illegal.
