Van Leeuwen trademark lawsuit

I was kind of floored by this lawsuit and the fact that it’s effectively pushed Rebel into bankruptcy.
Rebel has a pretty obvious differentiation marker with the giant 0g sugar circle on the front of the pint, on top of having a very different product proposition.

“these brands look alike” and “consumers are going to think these brands are connected” still feel like two very different things to me.

Am I missing something about how the consumer-confusion argument works here? Can someone make this make sense?

There are many other ice cream brands that use minimalist font and pastel colors and I personally have never gotten these two brands confused… (I personally also prefer my ice cream with full sugar and soft serve anyway!)

I work in marketing and I’m curious about everyone’s trademark opinion on this.

Normal Massage

We’ll be staying in Tokyo Bay for last leg of our trip & if anyone has some good recommendations for strong deep tissue (and normal) massage would love any recommendations - my neck is janked giving me cervicogenic headaches! Also outcall therapists also. I would choose to do the hotel but every hotel massage I’ve ever gotten is overpriced & not strong enough.

Car Service Recommendation

Going to Newark airport on Thursday morning from Easton. We’ve decided to take car service instead of doing long-term parking because a friend is picking us up when we return from our trip. I don’t want to do Transbridge because I’ve witnessed buses never coming and people missing their flights when I used to commute for work. I can do Uber, but I haven’t had the best experiences. I’m traveling with my mother who’s in her 80s so I’m looking for any recommendations . If things get messed up and it’s just me traveling I have no problem adjusting, but I don’t want her to be stressed out if we have to pivot plans etc

Late-stage help: best history-focused guided tour

Hi everyone, I know this is a little late, but we decided this week that one guided history-focused day may be the best option for our group.
We’re traveling to Japan in 2.5 weeks. I haven’t been there in over a decade, and my partner’s Japan travel has mostly been for business, so would love some help with context, logistics, and pacing.
Our group:
My mom, highly energetic 80’s, (Japanese-American, born in the U.S., first time visiting Japan.)She was in the camps during WWII, so this trip is very meaningful. She speaks some Japanese, though rusty.
My and my partner
My 13-year-old stepson, who loves samurai history, Sengoku Jidai, castles,, and immersive/story-based experiences
We’ll be in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, and looking looking for one history-heavy guided experience that is meaningful but not exhausting.
Interests: Imperial Palace/Edo Castle history, Kyoto old capital/imperial/samurai history, Osaka Castle/Toyotomi Hideyoshi, Sengoku Jidai, museums, or thoughtful neighborhood walks with a knowledgeable guide.
If we only choose one guided experience, would you pick Tokyo, Kyoto, or Osaka? Are there any specific guides, routes, museums, or experiences you’d recommend… or avoid for mobility/crowd reasons?
Thanks in advance!
