I did a couple test sketches of a yukidaruma to try out my new pastels on two kinds of paper

I received a box of Lightwish pastels, so made a couple quick drawings of a yukidaruma to try them out. The one on the left is on Canson pastel paper, the left on is on sanded Uart paper. It really drove home for me how terrible Canson pastel paper is for use with pastel, it's truly mindboggling. The pastels applied sooo much more nicely to the Uart paper. I'm kind of bummed because I though the drawing on the Canson paper actually looks cuter. This brand of pastels was new to me, and I quite like them. I made a review vid of them on my Insta, if anyone is interested to see: https://www.instagram.com/misterpick_art

I went to Governor's Island for the first time and there's so many great views! I did this pastel painting of this odd building, which I later found out is a tunnel ventilation building.

This was my first linocut print. I tried to do some that were two color, with yellow eyes, but only one turned out. I learned that I definitely need to properly register in the future! This was based on a photo I saw in r/chonkers
