Maybe a hot take but this guy should just give players the ability to trade in their Melk tokens (weekly contracts currency) for raw materials of the players choosing (ordo dockets, plasteel and diamantine).

Once your become a 'end game' lvl 30 class with a personal armory of mastery 500 weapons with the wanted dumpstat this would still be a reason to grind out the weeklys filling up your caches for other/new classes, etc. ( I still do the weeklys for the fun of it but as a 'end game' player the reward becomes useless to me, this would change that).

My 2039 theory (one i've not seen so far).

The entire theory is about how we perceive things from different perspectives.

Maybe the Novoreich isn't a reich at all but just the Hansa/Polis free line ('the good guys') and Hunter became the leader of the Spartan order (in the absence of the train gang) and later the Hansa/Polis free line.

The humans of the Moskou metro are united under one banner, are thriving and are at peace supervised by the spartan order led by Hunter but are still fighting a (what they perceive) mutant threat (the dark ones) similar to watchmen/lurkers or even librarians.

And thats where the main protagonist comes in:

The metro is not led by a reich but the stranger perceives them as a reich due to what they are doing to the dark ones that he perceives as humans.

All the people/children we see being taken away in the trailers aren't human but are the dark ones. (Hence why in the latest trailer we see a concentration camp like building on the surface with people surviving without gas masks).

The girl with the red hair could be our friend from last light.

Hunter is not the fuhrer but is seen as one by the stranger hence why in the trailer he keeps calling him a liar.

In one of the trailers the stranger mentions that the Spartan order is gone and that's because they are supervising the peace of the metro (the aren't gone but in the strangers eyes they betrayed everything that they stood for).

Those are the perspectives:

  1. Hansa/Polis (a freed, united and a peaceful/thriving metro) led by Hunter and the spartans fighting a mutant threat (because if its hostile, you kill it).

  2. The stranger that sees the dark ones as humans (and because of this sees the Hansa/Polis free line and the Spartan order as a reich).

Im thinking the best person (in this theory) for the stranger would be Khan.

For the people that want new Viking hero's but feel that the 'viking' well is a bit dried up (so to speak) i did some research and found 3 potential candidates for the Viking faction.

The next knight hero is Deimos, Astrea's secret twin brother freeing her from the arena and reawakening Horkos. (Deimos seems to be a theme for Ubisoft)

Just a hunch.

Ive had this thought/question for a while: would Spyrers/Spyre hunters be a good contender as a class ???

Spyrers or Spyer hunters are Noblemen of the great houses that use their influence and wealth to aquire certain 'advantages' (the most notorious is their power armour/suit) and with these 'advantages' they go to the lower/under hives to basically do recreational carnage against chaos cults, hive gangers, xenos, innocent bystanders aswell (probably).

When they are done with their carnage they just go back up to the spyres to do Noblemen tasks again hence the name Spyre hunters (they would literally join the war on Atoma as a hobby) .

I feel like 'pure' born and (probably in)bred Noblemen would be a nice fit to the warband in terms of banter being the rich snobs and spoiled brats they are and they would have nice aristocratic themed cosmetics aswell (powdered wigs, pompous hairstyles, etc).

The powersuit would be the class gimmick and also could give you some unique gameplay elements in terms of abilities and weapons and the like.

As a background for the class you could chose one of 4 houses you represent choosing between:

  1. house Margrave

  2. house Barquette

  3. house Barros

  4. house Brahms (not native to Tertium but native to the Mourningstar)

Maybe a hot take but after the 2 announced (upcoming Samurai and knight) heroes are released do we need more 'new' heroes?

Don't get me wrong i love this game and been loving it since year 1 but we are over 10 years old with multiple heroes being released almost every year and i hope the game goes for another 10 years but that would indicate 20 more heroes (2 per year) filling the roster even more.

I personally have this concept to go to: 1 new hero/year to give us something and to use the other resources on the existing roster essentialy using the 'new hero' formula one an existing (older) hero giving them a glow up.

the glow up generally consists of 3 things

1: (option 1/2) (male/female) counterpart.

2: new armor variation set in 4 different variants (dark blue, purple, gold, light blue).

3: new weapon with moveset

Some examples: getting an update where the female Medjay join the fight bringing the kopesh.

meaning the Medjay get a female counterpart.

They also get a new armor variation set.

And the most impactfull of all: the new weapon, they can now between matches swap between the staff and the kopesh.

Kopesh sword

Varangian guard was one of the most controversial releases due to the fact they were female genderlocked so they could get an update where the male Varangian guard join in bringing a 2handed axe (the raider already uses the dane axe so i chose for an axe from greece due to their byzantian/greek ties) the greek double bladed axe.

double bladed greek axes

male varangian guard

Even older heroes could glow up with this concept.

Female highlanders bringing another weapon type from the Scottish highlands: the scottish broadsword and targe shield.

Higlanders with Broadswords and Targe shields

Conquerors getting the 2handed warhammer/warpick and a new armour set.

i personally want a Ned Kelly insipired armor for Conqueror because it hits the Conq vibe so much (even thought Ned Kelly is from a different era).

warpick's

Ned Kelly's armour

These are some just some examples to explain my concept but this 'glow up' concept could be used on basically every hero in the roster giving them some much needed love.

What do you guys think?

Question: now that Darktide's a couple years old and that the Mechanicus doubled down on the warband with the skitarii, has the time come to introduce the vermintide 2 red weapons and curio's system?

Red weapons/curio's are the most elite weapons u can find (above gold/yellow), they cannot be bought, they cannot be crafted, they can only be earned as a reward for endgame level difficulty's (Damnation, auric, mealstrom, high level havoc, etc) and even then they are still a rare find.

It would be a new form of endgame content for all classes hunting them down.

For the weapons i would just remove the dumpstat meaning 5 lv 80 stats as for the curio's always being 21 health, 17 toughness etc.

Oska Krall upon being indoctrinated into the Cult Mechanicus and learning the sercrets of the Omnissiah and the machine spirit to modify the skitarii on the Mourningstar.

Could these 2 servoskull skins be a lightsource essentialy making them a floating lantern/flashlight???

Could be a neat feature for lights out/darkness missions having a lightsouce that is not a flashlight on your ranged weapon especially when carrying the skitarii class weapons: galvanic rifle, fosfor pistol or arc rifle.
