Lately I've been shopping in 3 different grocery store chains in my town, and in every one of them the freezer temps seem too high. I always select my frozen food last, but by the time I get to the front of the store and start unloading my cart, the boxes feel "flabby", like the item was just barely frozen. I got home with a frozen cheesecake today; took it out to thaw and on one side it looked like it had already started thawing. Has anybody else noticed this? Am I too picky? Or is it just part of the general enshittification of everything these days?

I took my mother's tax info to the same CPA who's been doing it for the last 5 years. Dropped it off around March 12th. Never heard from them, so I called on April 13th and was told it wasn't ready, but they would be filing an extension. I called again on April 27th. No one answered the phone. Called today (May 5th) and am being told that her taxes have been ready since the 14th. I checked my phone and I have not received a single call from them. They said my mother owes around $3800. Can anyone tell me what I will have to pay above that in the way of penalties and interest (provided I file and pay today.) Thanks in advance!
