Quick and maybe dumb question about sleeping

So I pierced at 4g about 11 months ago and was wondering if it's okay to sleep without any plugs in. It isn't uncomfortable persay but I've noticed little bumps from them kind of digging into my neck. I don't want to have them shrink or have any issues but I do want to air out my ear holes so I thought I might as well ask. I'm considering getting silicone tunnels but plan on going up to 3g soon so that feels a little pointless.

Suggestions for a car ride with my dad (more in the description)

So we're driving kind of far to visit some graves in a few weeks and he begrudgingly lets me on aux usually. His taste is fairly eclectic but some of his more recent favorites off the top of my head are: Bootsy Collins. Paramore, Maynard Ferguson, Chicago, Earth Wind & Fire, Kansas, Big Thief, and Pierce the Veil selectively. Basically jazz, oldies, post grunge and usually gravitates towards more musically involved/complicated or groovy stuff. He recently started working with a Japanese company and has shown some interest in some of my music lately so I was thinking of playing him some songs I think he'd like. I showed him 勉強しておいてよ by ずっと真夜中でいいのに and he liked that. Basically looking for help on finding some things y'all might think are up his alley based on the earlier artists and some songs I'm considering:

YASAI FUNK by カラスは真っ白

草木 by 長谷川白紙

カラカラ by 結束バンド

すみれ September Love by 一風堂

パラレルスペック by ゲスの極め乙女

死神 by 米津玄師

違う、そうじゃない by 鈴木雅之

わすられないの by サカナクション

クロとシロ by 鈴木弘

I'm looking for not quite math rock but very riff heavy jrock in a similar vein as カラカラ from btr or 会心の一撃 by Radwimps where the main guitar riff goes on independent of the vocals when it splits off. オトシマエ by polkadot stingray kind of fits the bill too. Sorry if this explanation sucks I feel like I'm looking for something hyper specific but idk

I tried not having any overlaps between the two also I forgot to switch out Pandora Hearts and Child of the Sheath since the former feels more overlooked than underrated
