What is BTS's current message?

Weird question I know but I was thinking about it today how BTS's message in their music has shifted over the past thirteen years, and it had me wondering about the 2.0 era and what they're going to be pivoting to.

For example, in their beginning they were marketed as underdogs, young high school graduates talking about social issues, along with the general album arc of young love. Later they followed with HYYH and early twenties experiances, again keeping that social commentary for Korean youth. Finally with the Love Yourself trilogy there was a bit of a push for mental health care and self love, again geared at teens to young adults (although anyone can relate, or course)

I feel like once they got to the size and mainstream aclaim that they have today, with HYBE becoming a megacorp and them swerving very heavily into promotion of luxury brands, the "political/social Justice" thing kinda fell away as expected. They had the 2019-2021, global SK ambassadors, attending the UN etc. and being like global beacons of hope during the pandemic with their English feel-good Songs.

Then Arirang as an album is a bit of an outlier from this general pattern because I understand it's point is to be a rip-off-the-bandaid, we're back, we're Korean. But I'm curious going forward their goals in music. I don't expect political commentary (they're multimillionaires under a monopolized megacorp like HYBE, let's be real that's not happeninf) and I understand they're all thirty by now so I'm not expecting HYYH, but I'm curious what y'all's opinions are on where they might take their message next.

Feeling Patriotic

(this is all in jest please don't be mad at me)

Absolutely incredible to wake up this morning to 1-0 scores in the world cup match between South Africa and South Korea lmaoooo.

As an SA ARMY who's first bias was and always will be Taehyung it made me very amused after seeing his live last night, and seeing SA Army's on tiktok talk about supporting SK instead, all to wake up to those incredible scores and record placement for our country.

Unfortunately we just are the better South haha. Go Bafana Bafana!!!

Question about tax from a confused young adult ?

Heyy, young adult here with a few questions she doesn't really trust Google with thanks to its conflicting information.

I had a few questions about tax, and no one to ask. More information. I am between 18-21. out of school and living at home, self employed earning below taxable income currently. I plan to move out by the end of the year and find steady full time employment. Ideally to be able to move out I will be making a salary that would fall under a taxable bracket which is why I'm curious about tax for the future.

  1. Should I sign up for a tax number now or wait until I am fully employed? is it something of an urgency to get, as I currently do not have full time employment?

  1. What is the best way to get a tax number? Online or in a phaycial branch?

  1. If possible, what are some good ways to learn to budget and keep track of expenses so that when I do inevitably pay tax, it will not emotionally destroy me lol.

Thank you for your time in answering, wish me luck trying to survive in the big and very scary world xx

I was doomscrolling Spotify audiobooks and found out that listeners of the yard are learning Cantonese and speaking to John Pork.
