Where do I stream the 80s Anne of Green Gables in Canada. I have covid and it would really help my 40 year old soul to rewatch it.

As we have unusual rain tomorrow and we booked a park party for my daughters 6 year old birthday and it looks as though its gonna rain, we are looking for any last moment suggestions of where we can host a birthday party for around 40 people 💀💀😬😬😬 please be helpful. I don’t need any messages about how I should have thought of the rain earlier. I know it was shit planning to not have a back up.

Elder millennial problem: why does the summer music festival scene suck in Vancouver? I look longing at the folk fests in cities smaller than Vancouver or even the broken social scene, stars, metric not playing together in Vancouver. I imagine it’s not just because of the World Cup?? Also why are there no big shows in Deer Lake this summer??The cbc music fests were awesome and so was Burnaby Roots and Blues back in the day. freaking Orillia in Ontario has a better lineup than the Vancouver folk fest for their festival. Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg - all have great and well known bands coming via their folk fests. I like many people in their mid 40s just wants to sit in a lawn chair with a cold local beer and a sun hat on a grassy knoll to listen to Dan Mangan , Geoff Berner, Frazey Ford or any other semi popular local bands who have had a Canadian arts council grant funded one man shows….Does the pne amphitheatre mean we no longer get nice things??? I also recognize all of this is likely because I’m aging and the things I enjoy are maybe too niche and don’t make money.

Son is playing on a tball team and the culture is not what we were expecting in 2026 in a progressive city. I heard one parent tell their son that we don’t cry at tball. Another parent said that boys are just better at tball in front of all the kids Including the girl up to bat. .,.The kids are freaking 5/6 years old! it’s weird. sport parents - are all teams like this? is this what it’s like if you want your kid to play team sports In Vancouver??
