Grandma Hobbies

Sitting here needlepointing and thinking, “Ah, I love a relaxing grandma hobby.” But then I thought back to my actual grandmother — her hobby was rug hooking; she made the most beautiful rugs. I still have two that she made for me, and I wish I still had all her equipment. She taught all the grandchildren the basics and we all had little projects going. We would also take strips of wool from old clothes and run them through her cutter so she could hook with them. I wish I knew how she got into it, but that tale is lost to time. So — did your grandma have a hobby?
