Are compliments a kink?

One of Ilyas is love languages is teasing undoubtedly. He’s a lovable and considerate boundary pusher if you will. While Shane is accurately Canadian in his inability to accept a compliment with a comfortable thank you. ( see Vegas rooftop for reference “it could have gone to either one of us”)

Thus my shower thought. In “the long game” when Ilya tells Shane he’s essentially a better player than him whilst being entangled at the all stars game. Is he truly having a moment of emotional honesty? Or is he getting off on seeing Shane wrestle with taking a compliment with grace?

I always thought it was the honesty part but then remember he bought coffee for the Rookie just to see him squirm. He’s absolutely the man to compliment with questionable motives. What do the people say?

Wish list for season 2

Hiya loons

Aside from the obvious plot cornerstones or thing that have already been confirmed (like the trophy room scene, the plane problems, sessions with Galina etc) what are some tiny story items you would love to see in season 2 (or 3?)

I would love some form of conversation between ANY two character where someone addresses that Ilya met Yuna minutes before he deflowered and devoured her son. It could be David and Yuna chatting and putting the pieces together. Shane and his mom, Ilya and Shane I don’t care. It doesn’t even need to be stated it could be an “oh” or a silly little look of knowing and then a fade to black. I just need it to be known to someone besides the audience.

What your wishlist?

Help with orbit sprinkler valve.

Hello everybody,

I recently replaced my orbit anti siphone sprinkler valve and it worked great for 2 days. Now it won’t shut off. I turned the timers of and nothing. I turned the solenoid quarter turn both ways and no dice then I cleaned the diaphragm and still won’t shut off. then I turned the solenoid again and it turned mostly off and dribbled a bit. I’m having trouble figuring out what the issues is. Any advice

99 problems and an Inn ain’t one

There’s a lot of lovable tropes in these books and the show but I just realized they don’t have the “only one room at the inn” situations.

The characters rarely get “forced” together and when they do they always have an air of choice, like to just leave. They aren’t stuck together by any force other than their wants and needs. There is no “oh no now we have to XYZ because the author made me” Instead what drives the story forward is the characters seeking each other. Making the effort to make the moves themselves and I think that’s where some catharsis comes from. It feels more consensual, where some romances feel begrudged.
