Locked out lesson learned

Unfortunately my s23 bricked itself on the way to work yesterday. When I had set up my Google account I never checked the backup phone number/email to be something different to my device.

I was loaned an old Samsung note to use until my new phone comes but couldn't figure out how to get into my Google account since it still wanted 2fa to fully log me on. Thankfully my laptop was still logged into Gmail/Google andi was able to get to Google Fi account and get on web calling. This way Google could call me with the 2fa code and I was able to get my phone number and service back.

Once everything was up I made sure I had the recovery codes printed and stashed safely.

Please please please print out those recovery codes for your Google account if you haven't already and make sure you've got other ways to get to your account with recovery email/phone numbers. I also didn't realize they had a video selfie option to allow 2fa when the traditional method don't work.

I did take the phone to a repair shop and anxiously awaiting if there's anything that can be done to recover my phone

I didn't believe it till I saw this

I'm still in shock. I'm down roughly 50lbs and just so humbled. Still have work to do but damn. These pictures are from January and July 2026

Update on Upgrade thoughts

As per my prior post I debated on the upgrade and did go through with it to get the standard suv.

When we arrived at MCO I was on b side- at the gold board I was directed to presidents circle. The 2nd car in the row was a 2026 VW Atlas Cross Sport. Very nice car and good amount of space for everything. Pretty sure I got my money's worth.

I was surprised they didn't assign a car but also happy with what we received

Terra Luna and Distilled water

We're staying at Tierra Luna in a couple weeks and wondering on a few things.

Does anyone know if the resort store has distilled water? I've had conflicting answers but we're arriving at midnight or just after. I'm currently planning to get a settled in the hotel and go to one of the 24-hour Walgreens on iDrive

I use a CPAP does anyone know if there are outlets next to the bed by the window or the bathroom or is it just the outlets in the middle of the two beds?

Upgrade thoughts?

What to you think on the offer they presented on this? Is there any merit or an I just throwing $13 away as they said I would upgrade to a blazer or similar.

5 star member and I have a midsize at MCO currently.

I am aware that ultimate choice isn't a thing for suv's at MCO.

Update::: I went for it. Hopefully not $12 down the drain. Will update y'all in 19 days once we have the rental (and a good night's sleep)

I know the Kricket KPAP has been approved and is releasing this summer. Is there anyone in this group that was part of the clinical trial?

I'm quite intrigued by this and also kinda bummed my machine isn't "due" for replacement for another 4 years.
