New wheels + OBDEleven

Got my 2022 etron about a year ago. I finally decided to give in to modding it.

New wheels from an Audi SQ7. 21x9.5 +31, came with Continental Cross Contact 285/40/21 tires. Also got around to doing the OBDEleven lowering trick set to +15mm at all corners. Went well the first time minus a few app glitches. Overall, no codes or malfunctions. I’ve only driven for an hour on dynamic mode and the ride is noticeably stiffer from the thinner sidewall tires and the lower stance. The handling is very much improved as well. The only drawback is I noticed the car has more rolling/coasting resistance, which is expected from having a non-eco focused tire that has considerably more tread surface. Loving it so far!

Update: Got to drive it more today on my usual commute. Suspension really is more “crashy” and it still doesn’t handle its weight very well. Expect this if you’re going to lower your etron. It will not be as nice as stock height. I’m used to modified cars, so it doesn’t bug me much and I could always switch to comfort mode.

Audi app broken?

Is anyone else’s Audi app broken? Mine has been down for a week. Doesn’t update at all and doesn’t execute commands.

Google Fitbit Air

Now with the Google Fitbit Air coming out for $99, Coros is likely the only big fitness ecosystem that is still without a standalone screenless device.

I recently tried the Amazfit ecosystem with the Balance 2 and Helio. I loved the versatility of having both, but I can't stand the Zepp app. I've come back to Coros because of that.

Garmin is releasing the Cirqa soon and Polar has released the Loop.

Would really love to know if Coros is planning to enter this space because the Google Air device looks sleek and, with their Pixel watches at least, they are known to be pretty accurate.
