I have albums that don’t show up in the app unless I search them explicitly. This has caused me to double buy a few Cobham albums because I didn’t put in the exact search criteria. I wish if I searched Cobham all things with Cobham would pop up. Or at least when I scroll down to Tool it shows all the Tool albums I have (it just left out opiate and lateralus from scrolling down.)
I used to think that John Stanier’s high cymbal was so unique and then I stumbled on Damon Che video and his super low angled snare is now one of the more unique setups I’ve seen.
For added flavor, there’s Pound and the drummer basically plays two different kits. One is setup rather normal and the other has a much larger kick drum and I think obscenely large floor tom.
(I am not really a drummer but a big fan of percussion)
