Steam machine + emudeck + cloud saves + steam deck = switch-like emulation experience!

I’ve been using my steam machine with emudeck cloud saves and it’s been so amazing to seamlessly pick up my steam deck to continue playing on the go or downstairs and then cozy up and crank all the settings up to upscale the same ps3 games on my tv.

I used to try to always dock my steam deck and play that well but it required changing settings back and forth each time and it was awful. This setup is so satisfying.

Spider-Man 2 4k with framegen and medium settings does 60fps so far on steam machine.

I’m no expert at performance tuning games but this is perfectly acceptable to me. Shrug. Happy customer here.

Edit: yall really hate framegen lol. I got locked 60fps on 1080p with high settings. I haven’t tested out 2k yet. I’m still happy with my purchase either way. I wanted to play this game but I didn’t want a ps5.

Edit edit: I see my enjoyment was generally a bad idea and I should throw this in the trash right now. BRB

Finished banjo kazooie for the first time ever via the recomp on steam deck. What should I play next?

I loved it with HD textures, modern camera and wide screen. I also loved playing each world to 100 percent before moving on to the next.

My understanding is playing tooie will be a downgrade from that and no recomp exists.

My options are:
Emulate xbla tooie on steam deck, emulate n64 on steam deck
Play tooie on switch online

Or
Play yooka replaylee

What do y’all recommend?

Legends has been on my backlog for a while and I already own it on switch. Should I play it or wait for retold instead?

I’m wondering if it’ll make me wish I waited for the better version and I’ll be bored playing it again in a year.
