It was HIS picnic table not ours
We paid him in sandwich bites but he was very intimidating
Anyone know of a data tracker for police-led road fatalities in Bxl ?
Dansaert - Porte de Flandres, this afternoon, police vehicle ran straight into a woman on a pedestrian crossing. I was there, this is not hearsay. No idea whether she died but it looked fatal.
Feels to me that there are reports of a police vehicle running into or over someone at least once a week. Does anyone know of a data or new tracker that has eyes on that ?
Not expecting any consequences for police, there usually aren't. Would like to match report numbers to general feeling (and maybe compare to other cities), but I'm no data analyst.
Edit to add: impressive ratio of downvotes. If you'd like to argue about police guilt in general, be my guest, but that's not what the post is asking about.
Homemade pizza - sourdough, cherry tomatoes, buffala, olive, parmiggiano and basil
First time making pizza, pleased with it.
The tomato base was made by slowcooking canned peeled tomatoes with roasted garlic, oil, thyme, rosemary, cayenne pepper and black pepper.
Flatbread, green zebras, burratta, lime juice and lao gan ma chili oil
The flatbread was made from sourdough with passatta instead of water and whole wheat. Green zebra tomatoes from the garden. Chili oil on everything.
Simonis area - is that BTS I'm hearing ?
BTS at ING arena has drawn 100k people to Brussels, that I know; metros were tripled in frequency today and full to the brim, that I know; but I'm 5km away near simonis, is it them I'm hearing or is there another event in the northwest quarter ?
Dead-mouse water for irrigation : am I cooked ?
I live in an old house which collects rainwater into an underground cistern. Mice semi-regularly fall into the drains from the roof during downpours and end up drowned in the cistern. I'm pretty good at fishing out (dead) mice day of, but with the heatwave I haven't been checking that much (there's been no rain).
Yesterday evening I opened the cistern to water the garden (I dunk my watering cans in and go) and there was a weird smell, but I put it on account of the water being still and hot. But after a while, something very large and very bloated came up to the surface - a mouse that had been in there long enough to be almost unrecognizable. When I tried to fish it out, the body pretty much burst apart (I'm so sorry if you're reading this while eating) and the smell was atrocious.
It's 37C outside and I'd already started watering so... I finished irrigating the whole garden.
It was too hot to worry.
But this morning my brain is cooler and I'm sort of freaking out, will anything happen to my soil or my plants ?
It's one or two dead mice in the equivalent of maybe 340 L water I used that day, watered over soil cover (a lot of mulch), with no rain in the forecast to dilute it. Help !
Is my tortie too large for my house ?
I did start her on new snacks, i guess i should've read the label
Hip creates a snappy beat
