Where are 38-40mm vh31 industrial brushed cases?

Where are 38-40mm vh31 industrial brushed cases?

I’ve noticed a trend on AliExpress toward “small-wrist-friendly” watches, and it has some downsides.

Brands like Militado, Addiesdive, and others offer many 36 mm models. Militado is a bit better in variety, but there are issues: the ML05 isn’t for everyone because of its long lug-to-lug distance, and while the ML05’s design is interesting, the shiny bezel sometimes looks out of place.

There’s also a shortage of 38–40 mm watches with the VH31 movement. This affects people with medium-sized wrists (around 7–7.5 inches) the most. For those of us in that range, a 36 mm watch can be worn but often feels off.

I own a Tudor BB58–inspired watch from another brand that’s 40 mm and automatic. For me and many others, a 38 mm case is ideal. Or even larger.

Do you have plans to release new cases—something similar to the ML08 but fully brushed for a more industrial look? Or at least a slightly larger ML18 variant?

Where are all the quartz watches for 7-7.5 wrists?

I’ve noticed something odd about quartz watches in medium sizes. There are lots of YouTube videos praising certain pieces for style or comfort, but when I looked into the quartz segment—especially VH31—I was surprised by how limited the selection is. The general trend among brands like Militado and Addiesdive is to use small cases (around 36 mm), add interesting dials, and completely disregard the demand for slimmer cases in the 37–41 mm range.

There are exceptions—mostly dive watches or some Addiesdive models—but those are either expensive or don’t offer larger variants. A good example is Militado’s recent ML18 release: it’s a 36 mm industrial-style brushed-steel watch, which looks great, but it’s too small for my wrist. Another issue is design mismatch: some polished, hazel-toned watches are paired with industrial or minimalist designs that don’t feel cohesive.

Addiesdive offers excellent budget options, but most of them are 36 mm. If you look at the pool of VH31 watches, you’ll find many models, yet a vast majority use the same or very similar 36 mm cases. Some 38 mm cases exist, but many of those lean toward Tudor Ranger or Rolex-inspired looks and feel somewhat boring.

This photo shows how a 40 mm automatic San Martin 0008g a great watch sits on my wrist. So where are all the cheaper, simple industrial-design quartz watches in that size category? Do others notice this trend of a wide selection of small quartz watches and a scarcity of medium, slimmer quartz options? Will this change?

I feel that some people are left behind with these bizzare choice of making small quartz watches.

NH35 started losing time more than 50s a day after 3 years.

Hello — I own a Chinese microbrand watch from a leading brand with an NH35 movement. It kept great time, but after sitting in a drawer for a few months it started losing time. I’m considering modding the watch or changing the movement. This is my first time using an Android app to check accuracy.

Three years ago it was losing about 1 minute per week. Now the movement is losing almost 1 minute per day.

This tolerance is unacceptable. Can modders advise whether I should try adjusting the movement or if this is a sign the movement is failing?

Thanks.

Abandoned cellar in the city centre of Klaipeda Lithuania

I was cycling in the city today in Klaipėda, Lithuania. I needed to stop but there were no public restrooms, so I had to relieve myself and look for a tree. I stopped and saw an abandoned cellar. There were clothes and beer—pants and a big pile of trash. A large dog or cat went inside. The walls in the picture were stained with a reddish-brown substance, and the smell was horrible. I took a photo and left immediately. There seemed to be a tunnel leading into another room; I wouldn’t go in there. There is litter next to it. Also if you zoom in you may see clothes etc. How can such place exist downtown.
