social cues between strangers

today i took the bus and a woman was sitting in front of me. after a bit i noticed she was crying. she looked sad and she was looking at her phone or outside the window, i think to stop herself from crying. i wanted to ask her if she was ok and if she wanted to talk a few minutes but i didn't know how. i didn't want to seem like i was snooping or invading her privacy. i offered her a tissue to dry her eyes and she smiled. she got up to go out the bus and she looked back at me smiling one more time. i can't keep wondering if she would've been glad if i had asked her if she was ok. Online people always say that it can take just one person noticing you, your emotions and your existance to feel better but in the moment you never know. i feel like i could've done something but i ended up being one of the many that stand back and do nothing.

summer slump(?)- advice

The past few days I've been struggling to do anything else but sleeping. And I'm not talking about doomscroling or watching tv series, more like either laying in bed motionless or full on sleeping all day. It's been years since I've felt like this and last time I was in a depressive episode. I put on videos I don't care to watch and don't even listen to, i feel so tired even after i sleep 13h uninterrupted, getting up because my family asks me to eat with them only to go back to bed until they ask me to. I am an university student and I should study hard but I truly do not care about it, I just wanna sleep. At first i thought it was because I drink a lot of coffee but i truly don't know. Because of this I've been feeling more and more like a failure and I like myself less and less. When I go out I try not to think about anything so it's fine and people close to me didn't notice but it's getting progressively worse and I'm refusing to go out more and more. Any advice on how to get better, especially with university?
