Dramatic boy hates nail trims. Help! 🐹

Hey everyone! 🙋‍♀️
How do you all handle nail trims with your piggy who absolutely hates it?
The second my boy sees the nail clipper, he turns into a pancake (which apparently makes him invisible) but the real drama only begins, when i pick him up. He starts moving around like crazy, bites me, pulls his paws back, and tries to wiggle his way out of my hands, making it impossible to get a safe cut. Im always terrified of accidentally cutting him because he just won’t sit still!
Also right after we‘re done, he looks at me with this, poor "baby face" like im the monster…(i am🫪)
What are your best hacks or distractions for nail trimming a dramatic piggy?🐹

my sweet girl has cancer..

I’m honestly devastated right now.

A few days ago I noticed a big lump under my piggys chin, so I took her to the vet thinking maybe it was an abscess or something that could be treated. Instead I was told she has lymphoma and it’s already too advanced for anything to be done. The vet sent us home with a week’s worth of pain medication to keep her as comfortable as possible. She also only just turned 2 yrs old last Month. I thought there would be years left of hearing her wheek for treats, watching her run around with her siblings, and all the little daily moments that become such a normal part of life. I keep looking at her and cant stop wishing there was something else I could do.

As of right now she’s still eating and stealing her Brothers food.

My goal is to make whatever time she has left as comfortable and peaceful as possible. I'm giving her all the attention she’ll tolerate(she doesnt like being held or pet) and plenty of her favorite foods, veggies and pellets. I just want her to feel loved and safe and not be in pain.

If anyone has gone through this with a piggy, how do you cope? I‘d appreciate any advice❤️🐹
