How do you just “turn it off”?

Most of the time my anxiety is just kind of silently lurking in the corner - always there, but not really doing much. But these last few days have been so bad. I can’t fall asleep, and when I eventually do, I can’t stay asleep. I wake up with my heart racing and then spend my whole day feeling exhausted and disconnected from the world. I talk to myself and try to convince myself that I’m okay and I’ll be okay, but once I feel a bit funny again I start spiraling. I can’t turn it off. Last night I couldn’t fall asleep for hours - I laid there with my eyes closed but it felt like they were just wide open the whole time and now I’m just so tired and feel so weird today, and having seizures (10 years grand mal free) my brain is like “yep you’re going down, tonight’s the tonight) and I can’t stop those thoughts. They’re tiring. This feeling is tiring and I just want it to stop. The butterflies, the tingles, the heart racing, being dizzy, all of the weird shit I want to just come to a screeching HALT and I don’t know how :(

Lack of sleep

Does anybody else feel like, disconnected from their body when they’re lacking sleep? Just one night not sleeping well and I feel absolutely miserable. I fell asleep, woke up about an hour and a half to two hours later drenched in sweat (normal) and feeling like I was just floating and my whole body felt so weird. Every grand mal I had was in my sleep and it’s been 10 years so idk what I feels like prior but it sure didn’t feel great. It was scary. I fell back asleep after cooling off and woke up again a little while later but felt normal. I think I stayed asleep until my boyfriend woke me up hours later, saying we slept past our alarm. I was EXHAUSTED, and felt like I couldn’t wake up (which we didn’t, we woke up two hours later lol) and eventually I got out of bed. I’ve just been feeling real spacey and floaty all day/night and my head feels a bit light but heavy at the same time? I’m full of anxiety too which I’m sure doesn’t help. Idk. I felt normal for a brief period but I really don’t know what these feelings are supposed to feel like. I have to remind myself I’ve felt like this before and my medicine does its job but it’s so scary. It makes me so nervous and I just know I’ll be going to bed with a panic attack again and I hate it.

East Texas El Niño

I don’t mean to be another person asking about it, but what are we looking at over in ETX in terms of this super El Niño? I’ve seen wicked heat, I’ve seen “kinda cool”, but I’ve also seen wet and rainy and also no change at all lol. I’m just curious how I should prepare?

What is this pain and what can I do to fix it?

It’s right around this spot, hurts SO bad when I move a certain way or straighten up my torso (like sit straight up). I can lift my arm for the most part but even when I sleep at night it hurts so turn in bed. I don’t have any troubles breathing until it’s at its peak with pain lol. I can feel the tender spot of the muscle so I’m fairly certain it’s a muscle pain but man it’s been a couple of weeks now and becoming absolutely exhausting to deal with :( I have a pretty large chest area so sitting straight up is painful and frankly just a pain in the ass. Is it my posture maybe? I noticed as I was typing this it kind of felt like a punch to turn my head to the left too. I don’t know. It just hurts and I want it to stop :/

Creating a group chat 👀

Hiiii!!!

Delete this if it isn’t allowed —

But, my man and I are not the most social people, and it’s been kind of a hard year for us - so we figured we would try at least trying to be social and start a little group chat 🥺 it’s on snap, we have a few of our online friends on it already. It’s mostly our stoner buddies, but you don’t have to smoke to be in it of course. We’re just trying to branch out and get to know people more because we’ve kind of hermit’ed ourselves this past year and thought it could be fun! If yall want in let me know and I can send a link 🙂

Our only rule is you gotta be 21+ :) other than that it’s a free will type of thing lol

30f - a few years back I lost roughly 80lbs. Had a setback, gained most of it back, if not all. Now I’m really struggling to get the motivation back to lose it again. I was doing so good. I was looking better than I have in a while. I’m so disappointed in myself, and I still can’t get myself moving. I cut down on snacking, and I cut down on sodas. I fixed majority of my eating habits. But when it comes to being physical I just can’t do anything. I’ve looked up home work outs, so I don’t have to go to a gym, or outside (I’m in Texas and it’s way too hot) and instead I sit here watching 1000lb sisters. Help :(

Hiii yall. I’ve been dealing with some dizziness lately that I keep getting told could be because of my anxiety. It’s not the “omg I’m gonna pass out” dizziness, but room spinning kind. I’ve also been told it could be ear crystals? I don’t know. All I know is I have the worst health anxiety - like debilitating anxiety and I’m terrified to go to the doctor. And I also don’t have insurance right now :/ I’m working on that of course. But I was just wondering if that’s maybe a common thing anyone else has dealt with?
