The shooting was actually closer to Jollibee...when's the press conference?
It was at the Warfield. Mayor Laurie, where are you?

I went to their open house. Cool young company that's grown quickly. I'm keeping an eye on their careers page for when a sales job comes up. This is good for Oakland.
Your move, Laurie. When are we getting our robot factory? Embarrassing that Oakland is ahead of us in creating good jobs, especially with a woke mayor.

Prefacing this by saying I like my roommate; he reminds me of a real life hobbit, and I don't mind that he cooks all the time.
The only problem is that my room is adjacent to the kitchen, and I have a remote job -- not a normal one, or under normal conditions.
Even though it's full-time and remote, it's hourly, and my bosses expect me to be completely focused, have no interruptions, and make no mistakes from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. M-F. They are also eagerly looking for any excuse to ding me on those performance metrics ever since I helped unionize our staff a few years ago and complained about harassment by my top boss's friend.
I've been managing ok until this roommate moved in late last year. He is semi-retired and in the kitchen pretty much nonstop. I don't mind that, and I don't mind seeing him when I come out. We're both regulars at our neighborhood bar, and we have a good rapport.
We've talked about noise and my job since he moved in, and he has been totally understanding. He's not doing anything outrageous or insensitive, but he cooks himself three meals every day at unpredictable hours,: we live on the top floor with bad ventilation, and he has set up his cookware storage (on a metal shelf) and dining spot right at the mouth of our echo chamber hallway.
I have two fans, a giant air purifier, and a white noise machine on most days, but the hallway echo and bad ventilation mean that I get startled, distracted, and woken up, by noises (which are just from him doing things like moving dishes and putting utensils down) and/or nauseous from smells and drenched in sweat for the entirety of the 5-6 hours he spends cooking, which are at unpredictable times.
It's deeply impacting my work, especially around dinner time when I'm trying to finish last minute details and wrap up the day, and it's making my sleep schedule unpredictable/nonexistent. My bosses noted all of this on my latest performance review, and they were stoked to have reasons to shit on me while I helped finish bargaining our first union contract.
Between the noise, heat, and work pressure, I have started to genuinely hate my life. When I started this job in 2021, there were plenty of chill coffee shops and bars in the neighborhood where I could bring my laptop and work from whenever I needed to get out of the house. But now those spots have either shut down or been overrun by weird, lonely, rich dudes who can't leave a broke girl alone to do her fucking work, and don't understand the concept of hourly pay.
I obviously need to quit my job soon, but it's in a field that I care a lot about, and that is basically impossible to get into. I'm trying to make it to my five-year anniversary in September, but I'm dying here.
This is my first living situation in a decade that hasn't involved truly bad roommates, and I don't want to move. But I also don't want to quit my job prematurely because of this. I just want to do my best work for the rest of my time here (because it's public facing and reflects on my skills, not just because of pressure from my bosses).
WWYD? Any and all advice welcome.
ETA, after looking at some posts here, just want to emphasize that I'm not trying to control anyone or say they can't cook. Just looking for suggestions on how to address the physical circumstances and/or have a conversation without offending him. I just can't go on like this.
Is this legal/ethical? My work does an annual fundraising drive and grant program. It donated $15k to an organization founded and run by one if its board members.

That's why the busses are late. It's as simple as that.
^(Pure AI ephemera. These girls are totally lying about their rates, because I'm a cheap ass and would never pay that much, even if they have PhDs, and even if I have no other way of getting a woman to acknowledge me.)
^(There have been countless AI clickbait articles in the past five years, but this one is final straw, and I must speak out. For completely objective and logical reasons, obviously, not because I have any personal feelings.)
^(Most tech workers are married with kids, which means they would NEVER pay an escort! It's only the young, single guys who would do that. That's an objective fact, not just something I want my wife and kids to believe.)
