How did your parents react to your relationship/marriage? Were they more like Lady Catherine de Bourgh, Mr. Bennet, or Mrs. Bennet? 😂

I’ve been feeling really stressed dealing with my parents’ reactions to my relationship. I’m an adult and quite mature now, but sometimes they still treat me like a child.

It got me thinking about Pride and Prejudice: how much do our parents’ opinions influence our relationships and marriage choices?

How did your parents respond when you were in a serious relationship or got married? Did they support you, worry about you, interfere, or surprise you?

Has Pride and Prejudice ever changed your perspective on love, marriage, or relationships?

Believe it or not, I read Pride and Prejudice this May, and it completely changed my view on marriage. Then I met my "Mr. Darcy" in June, and now we're happily engaged.

What about you? Has this book ever changed the way you see relationships or what you value in a partner?
