setting big and small goals for myself to keep myself motivated

i am just starting mounjaro and received so much helpful advice from everyone already. i'm feeling a lot more optimistic and like this is going to be a positive thing for my health.

i have always loved my body and still do, from an aesthetic standpoint, so focusing on my appearance or numbers on a scale isn't super motivating to me. but i do want to set some goals for myself that are a mix of health goals and fun goals. did anyone else do any big goal setting/get to do new exciting things once they lost weight?

MY GOALS:

things i used to be able to do

  • ride my bike
  • walk several miles at a time
  • paint my toenails really well!
  • go to yoga class
  • ride in a car with no seatbelt extender

things i've never been able to do:

  • find something at a thrift store that fits me
  • get below the 300lb weight limit for a peleton
  • go from the top floor to the basement in my house
  • take a water aerobics class (i'm in my early 40s but i'm an aspiring old lady and would love to take a class with the 70 year olds in the morning!)
  • go to a restaurant without checking the chairs/seating first

i just started this week and i'm cautiously optimistic

i just started mounjaro last week, starting at 488lbs. my goals are modest, i'd like to get down to 400. the idea that i could end up weighing less than that just doesn't seem plausible to me.

i already have almost no appetite, but i'm still getting food noise. i'm very afraid i'm going to be one of the few people it doesn't work for, but i'm only on 2.5 and it hasn't even been a week.

anyway, this community looks like my people. you've all made such amazing progress and i haven't seen any bodyshaming, which is rare for reddit.
