I finally get to join the 100+ club!

I finally get to join the 100+ club!

Hi all - I am a frequent lurker/visitor here and come here for inspiration on those days the goal line feels far away.

I started this journey back on April 20, 2005. 13 months later, I have a whole new world.

When I first started, I was so worried it wouldn’t work. I had failed RNY bypass, a stomach revision, tried every diet plan including a year of strict keto.

As a lifelong equestrian, my weight got in the way of everything. Nothing is crueler in the world than the equestrian community towards overweight women. Being able to blend in is freeing.

My next goal is hit 150 as a weight and a normal BMI (as stupid as that number is!)

I hit twotopia today 🥳

Haven't been under 300 in a few years and even that was very short lived and done extremely unhealthily, ended up gaining it all back plus an extra 10lbs. 5lbs to go and I'll be 100 down!! I'm so excited y'all 😭😭

103lbs from highest weight!

I never thought it would be possible, I’m 6’4 and have always been the tallest and biggest guy everywhere I went, being under 300lbs is a huge milestone to me, I know I still have a lot to go, maybe 60lbs before I can feel comfortable and not obsess over it, but zepbound is something that changed my life. Keep going, if I can do it, so can you.

i just started this week and i'm cautiously optimistic

i just started mounjaro last week, starting at 488lbs. my goals are modest, i'd like to get down to 400. the idea that i could end up weighing less than that just doesn't seem plausible to me.

i already have almost no appetite, but i'm still getting food noise. i'm very afraid i'm going to be one of the few people it doesn't work for, but i'm only on 2.5 and it hasn't even been a week.

anyway, this community looks like my people. you've all made such amazing progress and i haven't seen any bodyshaming, which is rare for reddit.

2 Year Mounjaroversary

224 lbs down. T2D, high blood pressure, IBS, reflux, sleep apnea and diverticulitis are either under control or completely gone. It's been a great ride and I'm within 10 lb of goal weight.

I think the stall is over (don't jinx it)

My weight was stalled for months and months ... at least 6, maybe more. I'm maxed on Zepbound, restarted Metformin after stopping it, was moving and focused on protein etc.

I decided to step on the scale today just to see after a month of not checking. Down 10 lbs from my stall weight. I don't know what broke it, I just hope it stays broken. I've done great with the loss so far over about 2 years but I'm not done.

Woke up to this today!

🤯 I’ve been in a stall for 4-5 months and then out of the blue, BAM! I typically don’t pay a lot of attention to numbers but this one feels really significant! I just kept doing what I do, nothing special. I listen to my body with the help of Tirzepatide. Grateful!

Anyone jump to Foundayo?

I've been on the Zepbound ride for about 2 years. I'm about 115 down with maybe another 50 to go. Things have definitely slowed down since I hit the 100# lost mark. Doing a lot of up and down with a bit more down.

I just signed up for GoodRx to jump to the pills but haven't picked them up yet.

Thought there might be some hive mind knowledge that others would be willing to share. Anyone have insight on making this change?

50% less

I made it! I can hardly believe it’s my turn to post. When I first started reading these subs I was so encouraged by all the success stories, but I had my doubts I’d get there myself. I think at the 100lbs down milestone I really felt like I could do this, and now here I am.

I was a chubby kid, but not obese. I was very active but I can remember struggling with bingeing from a very young age. Food was tightly regulated in our household and I remember as far back as 5 or 6 years old sneaking orange flavoured vitamin C tablets because they tasted good and I just wanted more, more, more.

My weight was up and down throughout the years, depending on circumstances. I got interested in weightlifting in my early 20s and stayed fit for awhile, but the bingeing tendencies were still there and really won out as I got older.

I gained a lot of weight in my late 20s, lost 100lbs, then gained it all back plus some. I’ve lost 40-60lbs more times in my life than I can count, always gaining it back quickly once I reached goal. I drank heavily, and mostly very high sugar vodka coolers, which added to the weight gain.

In October of 2024 I started on Wegovy. At this point I was around 345lbs, hadn’t exercised in many years and I was in bad shape - my back hurt constantly, my left ankle was always sore from an injury, I was just physically miserable. I started out walking in place, in my basement, for 6 minutes. I did that 6 days a week, adding a minute every other day or so.

I held steady for a bit at 25 minutes of walking in place, because I was still pretty sore physically. Gradually I made it up to 40 minutes, and by that time I’d lost significant weight and it was becoming easier to move and less painful.

5 months into my Wegovy journey I added in weightlifting. I was fortunate to have had that background in lifting from decades before, and still had dumbbells, a bench, and a cable machine. I started low and slow and gradually worked my way up to some pretty intense lifting. My weight loss really took off once I added in the lifting.

These days I walk outside 10-20km a week, bike 20-50km, lift weights 3-4x a week. I like trying new things (snowshoeing this past winter, plan to try rock climbing soon) and I prioritize workouts I enjoy. For me it’s just not sustainable to go on a treadmill. I’ve found activities I like, and I’m able to stick with them.

As for food and alcohol - I lost all desire to drink and that made a huge difference in my caloric intake. The bingeing urges also went away and I was able to stick with sensible eating. Some of those urges are back, more than a year and a half on this medicine, but it’s controllable. I’m still on 2.4 Wegovy every week.

I’ve now lost 50% of my starting weight. I think I’d like to lose another 10-15lbs, but I’m not set on that. I do have loose skin and it bothers me a bit, but I don’t have the money for surgery so I try not to dwell on it too much. Even if I could get some skin removal covered by insurance, I can’t afford to take the time off for recovery. I’m ok with that. I’m just so happy to be healthy and active and mostly pain-free.

My life is incredibly different these days. I’m not embarrassed to be out in public. I don’t have to plan every outing far in advance, to make sure there’s going to be safe seating for me, or worry about being a sweaty mess if I have to walk somewhere. I don’t have to carefully plan my same three crappy outfits, so the people who I see regularly don’t see me wearing the same clothes every single time. I was able to go back to full-time work. I am happier, and look forward to my physical activities, and don’t stress too much about food.

I do worry a bit about the future, since as I mentioned the medicine is less and less effective for me. I hope that if I keep on my path of prioritizing physical activity, that will keep me in a healthy place.

Thanks for reading! I hope someone reads this and is encouraged, the same way I was back in the early days. Thanks to all who share their stories - you are inspiring.

Down 170 lbs.

43M.

Feels like a small milestone moment. Why? My BMI is finally less than 40. When I started at 439 pounds, my BMI was 65.

I'm also now no longer class III obesity... down to class II.

I still feel pretty fat, but also physically feel much better. I probably haven't weighed this since midway through high school over 25 years ago.

u/Yoda-202 — 6 days ago

112 pounds in 13 months🥳

I’m still pinching myself and find it hard to believe the mirror when I see this new me!

I have not seen 178 since i hit it may 1st 🫩
This losing only every other month business is getting TIRED. Im over it but we chugging on… im now trying to get to 160lbs by august 20 for an event i have the 22-23nd of that month instead of trying to hit 169 by june 15th. Of course if i hit it i hit it but it’s no longer my main priority mini goal. I need to lock in with my steps, protein and water. I think my protein and water intake may be whats setting me back so let me see how this week goes!!

In other news i placed a order for my p*ps and got a yrs worth of tirz and reta (for my step dad too) so im broke broke this month but at least i don’t have to work for a year now

38lbs to 140, 43 to 135 we are hitting goal this year one way or another!! 18lbs to my August goal of 160…

My brother is starting 1mg on oz today also!!

No weigh ins this week because i took a morning shift today! Also in the comments i have posted a body update! 1yr from 2025 to 2026. Its kinda wild looking back on it how i thought i was sooo much smaller than i looked last yr and now that i am at 178 its so clear to see!! Even my face i thought i was snatched then but i was soo wrong.

Finally reach a big milestone

Never thought I would get to this point. It has been almost 11 months since I started this journey. I still have a ways to go but I have more behind me now than ahead of me.

Consistency is helping me

Hi there, a follow up to my post here from last month. I am 40yo and have been on a health journey ever since my first separation in October 2023. I never lost my 2019 pregnancy weight, and then after the pandemic I gained even more. As I mentioned in my last post, I broke up with my scale last year but every day I take a selfie at the gym. I was working out a lot in 2024, kinda stopped mid-2025 and then picked back up again in Jan. 2026. I am finally starting to see the change when I compare the pics and I am feeling so strong. But it's very slow and steady.

https://preview.redd.it/iyh7sum3y71h1.png?width=812&format=png&auto=webp&s=2f65e2520f51a03d527b8b43d0abd21859eac92a

I take 12.5 weekly shot of Tirz. The tirz has eliminated the food noise and binging issues I had for years. Now I can eat small portions, focus on whole foods and stop when I'm full. I take collagen and creatine supplements every day. I go to the gym every day. I walk at the gym for 20 minutes on the treadmill at an incline and then do weight lifting. I alternate the weight machines one day and then do a free weight/kettle bell/body weight workout the next. I also do 3-4 hot yoga classes a week.

I am legally separated from my ex for the second time in three years. I am in the middle of a divorce and regulating my nervous system with gym/sauna/acupuncture has been such a benefit this time around. I really hope to keep building on my progress and I really appreciate this sub for keeping me focused on my goals! It really helps me to see what others are doing with their lifestyle changes.
