Dating?

So…recently I reconnected with someone from my past. Because of where our lives were 20yrs ago, we went our separate ways without each other. Recently we crossed paths unexpectedly and had lunch.

Throughout the course of our “catching up”, she disclosed to me that she was found to be HIV positive about a year ago (bad relationship and that was just one of the marks it left on her).

The thing is, over the past month or so we’ve ended up spending a considerable amount of time with each other having really deep, emotional discussions and it’s sort of leading to us…I don’t really know what label to put on it, but some type of relationship with each other.

That said, I’m deathly afraid of how to approach the HIV issue without sounding insensitive. I did some research and kind of know the basics of living with it but that’s about all I know.

Honestly, is a relationship even worth pursuing knowing she could pass it to me at any time?

Ok, who’s done a diesel swap?

Anyone? How much was it? Where’d you source the engine?

Edit: I’m looking into doing this in a 2025-26 Toyota Land Cruiser. Toyota makes a diesel engine version, but the closest place it’s sold is Mexico.

Lane keep assist?

I’m trying to figure out this whole Layne keep assist function and I cannot tell if it is automatic or not.

I know there is the button on the steering wheel and when you press it, it will keep the car between the white lines. However, there seems to be a function that does the same thing when the feature on the steering wheel is not enabled.

What is the difference between the two?

BP meds?

I’ve been on BP meds for about 15yrs. Doctors usually changed them every six months or so because they stop working after about that time.

Over the last month or so I’ve been getting dizzy after standing up so I took my BP today and it was 103/69 (and I’m on 3 BP meds.

I’ve lost about 45lbs over the last 6mo.

How long was it before you came off (or reduced) your BP meds?

Is P+ worth the extra $5k?

So we just got an XSE FWD with the Premium package and walked out the door for $43k (western Oregon). The Plus package was nice (mainly the front camera and 360 view) but we couldn’t justify another $5k on a Camry.

What’s been you guys’ experience?

Left or right side ABS sensor?

Hey, is there anybody out there that can tell me whether this is for the left side rear or right side rear on a 2012 Passat TDI?

There are no markings on the sensor itself and they came together in a bag with a sticker that has both part numbers on it. I changed one of them about a year ago, but I don’t remember whether it was the left or right side and I am trying to prevent having to buy another set just to get the right one if it is indeed the one for the right rear.

I don’t know if anyone else here is familiar with VCdS on German cars, but that’s what I’ve used for the past 20yrs or so—now I’m in the Japanese auto world.

What’s the equivalent scan tool for these cars and what’re some cool modifications you can make with it?
