This is such a long story but basically I’ve been renting for like 6 months. No issues. Then A couple months ago it needed a new battery. I got the voucher and got the oil changed and the new battery. Continued renting paying every week. Then June 5 it said I can’t extend. Went into the office and they said it needs maintenance (yearly tnc inspection) and it needed an oil change. Gave me a voucher. I went to Meineke they said the voucher isn’t valid. Ok I went back to hertz and they gave me a new one. Went to pep boys. Got the services done. Went back to the hertz office. They said I still can’t pay to extend. Need a different inspection paper filled out. Now it’s Friday the hertz uber office is closed on the weekends. Went back Monday with the paper. They say oh no it says it needed electrical work done a couple months ago. I explain that’s been done. Still won’t take my payment. Ok now a new payment is due. But it’s been taken off the uber app most of the week. By the time we got to Wednesday they said there’s a repo put out on the car for maintenance. It’s not rentable anymore. Must return to fleet for maintenance Same maintenance that I got done. But anyway, ok I returned the car. Now they say I need to make a new reservation, pay them 907 plus the first week for a new rental. Even though they took away my ability to even make money.

So my question is has anybody ever had luck getting the balance transferred over to a new contract? In the hertz office they said it’s 50/50 if the billing department will do it or not. Considering none of this was my fault and they had me spend over a week getting their car maintenance while still charging me for it while I couldn’t even make money with it and then said I have to return it, I think they should consider that? Idk there’s like 4 different hertz departments and it’s like none of them ever talk to each other or something.
