Need Advice 😞

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some honest advice because I'm feeling stuck in my career.

I've been working as a Software Engineer, but over the past few years I've realized that software development isn't where I see my future. I'm interested in transitioning into a Data Analyst role because I enjoy working with data, SQL, dashboards, reporting, and finding insights more than building applications.

The problem is that I'm struggling to make the switch. I've been applying for jobs without much success, and it's starting to affect my confidence. I'm based in Dubai and I'm worried about my career and future.

I have a software engineering background, so I hope some of my technical skills are transferable. I'm willing to learn, take certifications, or even start in a junior data analyst position if it helps me gain experience. I'd really appreciate any advice on:

  1. How to successfully transition from Software Engineer to Data Analyst.
  2. Which skills or certifications made the biggest difference for you.
  3. Companies in Dubai that are open to hiring career changers or junior Data Analysts.
  4. Recruitment agencies or organizations in Dubai that could help with this transition.

Any success stories from people who've made a similar career change.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. Any advice, recommendations, or words of encouragement would mean a lot.
