Got it for $40. Only similar one I could find was an old Marketplace listing for $50. Think I’m going to make it an electronic repairs tool box, and free up a drawer in my main box.
Grew up watching drag racing with my dad, and John Force was always a guy we pulled for. So it was a fun find for sure.
Looks like the Mobil 1 Tyler Reddick 1:64 rebate is back this year, along with a gift card.
Likely getting the gift card due to the recent price hike of oil, since most of the Group III base stock comes out thru the Strait of Hormuz. At least that’s my guess anyways.

Made a few throwback schemes on Rivals on Switch. Had to take some liberties with the sponsors obviously, but tried to get similar looking ones for each car.
Replicated the Derrick Cope #10 Purolator Lumina, the Ricky Rudd #10 Tide Taurus, and the Davey Allison #28 Havoline Thunderbird rookie car.
The 26W1 Byron on the peg was the only one when my son and I went this morning. Apparently, someone has a strong opinion on the lack of Authentics at this Walmart. Was behind both the Authentics peg and the Majorette peg next to it, which was basically fully stocked lol.

Found this on Marketplace, in Corpus Christi of all places (Labonte’s hometown in TX). It’s a 3D light up wall decor piece, of my absolute favorite scheme, Davey Allison’s rookie Havoline Battlestar Thunderbird. Scored it for $100, after seeing it sit on there for months. Still works, and is in decent shape for being almost 40 years old!
And somehow, my wife is good with it inside the house, instead of being banished to the garage or my shop lol.
I got a coupon for Midwestboots.com in the mail, that I won’t use. Be glad to pass it on to someone else in this sub who could use it.

Got an Echo CS-590, and it seems the chain keeps getting loose. Like I tighten the bar down and get the right amount of chain slack, but then after maybe 15-20 minutes, it has a bunch of droop and slack (like in the picture.) Am I just not tightening down on the bar enough, or am I missing something?
The saw itself runs great, after I had to mess with the adjusters a little. But I just can’t seem to get the chain to stay tight through a work session (homeowner, trimming and cutting down trees on my property, not a commercial/arborist.)
